The fact that they're honoring a guy who's spent his entire career knocking out nobodies and fought only 2 guys that were even considered a threat to him(one guy was almost 40yo or somewhere along those lines) shows how extremely few people there are worthy of being honored like that coming from where he's from. Dude gets outboxed by almost everybody until he lands that killshot of his. Credit to him tho.Must be great to have that type of power.

Never did like like Wilder's wild exaggerated opening of his big mouth, or his loud maniacal mantra "Boom Squad".
Also his out of the ring incident choking a women he accused of stealing his gold chain, and intimidating boxing reporters interviewing him.
He came across to most of the viewing public like a thug who would ultimately wind up in the hospital prison, or the cemetery.
That said his in the ring exploits are impressive, an over 95% winning, and knockout ratio which are astounding in the sport of boxing.
Now although he does tend to become unhinged at times, he has been able to control it to the point that has kept him out of jail.
He does deserve some credit for that, as well as raising his family, winning a Bronze Olympic Medal, and his successful boxing career.
Fans can't get enough of his highlight reel knockout's, or his own come backs from the verge of being knocked out, except for his last 2 fights against Fury of course.
He definitely is a bad man inside of the ring, lets just hope that he doesn't turn out to be a mad man outside of the ring.

He was a can crusher and not all that good, but he was also extremely fun to watch because of that mix of power, killer instinct and vulnerability. Its also good to have American HWs in the mix and for now hes still by far the biggest American name at HW. So its good that hes coming back, might wanna get a move on though.
