Why was Bivol able to back up Canelo when GGG and Kovalev couldn't?

GGG is a middleweight and they fought at middleweight.
Bivol is much bigger and much faster than both Canelo and GGG.
Kovalev was washed.

Size.
And Kovalev did backup Canelo for the majority of the fight.

GGG and Kovalev gave the smaller man too much respect.. I still can't believe Kovalev fought the way he did.

A few posters mentioned it, but it was Bivol's ability to take away the countering opportunities from Canelo. Yes, Bivol's size helped him deal with Canelo but it was his conservative combination punching, tight guard and swift footwork.

He never stopped jabbing, or almost never stopped. The jab stopped Canelo in his tracks and pushed him backwards.
