Why was Bivol able to back up Canelo when GGG and Kovalev couldn't?

On paper GGG and Kovalev were both bigger punchers than Bivol yet they couldn't back up Canelo.

Bivol on the other hand easily backed up Canelo and even bullied him at times.

What did Bivol have that the others didn't?

GGG is a natural middleweight guy. Bivol is a natural light heavyweight guy.

No way GGG punches harder than Bivol.

Kovalev was totally shot when Canelo beat him.

    Here is your answer.

It's Canelo hoping his opponent overcommits, he's trying to set up counters, go for some big shots. Bivol wasn't falling for that weak ****, though.

Bivol is bigger probably might punch as hard as ggg yet quicker hands and footwork. Kovalov was shot yet even then took canelo awhile on a shot fighter

Canelo had his back against the ropes the entire first fight against GGG. What're you talking about?

Same reason Usyk had Joshua on the rope ready to go and Bigger men couldn’t manage it. Skillz. A middleweight Golovkin hits harder than a LHW Bivol. It’s a thing called technique.

GGG was backing Canelo up a lot in the first fight.

Kovalev sold himself out in that fight. Untrained and unmotivated.

kov and ggg were getting countered.

bivol was not getting countered, he wasnt afraid of anything canelo was throwing. canelo was going for uppercuts, trying to hook around the guard, trying to split it, none of that worked. bivol was always aware of the distance, he would throw his shots but never go overboard and over commit. canelo even tried to rope a dope to tire out bivol some and he didnt fall for that either.
