More importantly, how does this roid head still manage to be a fat slob? Everytime I see him he's busting out of a custom suit.

He's one of those Low level life forms that got money but its still painfully obvious what he is. TRASH

Of course he's wrong. There is no free enterprise in UFC. You need independant promoters, management, etc to get bigger and better paydays, audiences, etc. Everything under one roof doesn't work. These guys are getting peanuts, eat what you kill, get the fuck out of here with that noise. You're a commie for supporting anything this prick says!

I kind of agree with White to an extent here and I normally can't stand him.

The UFC is a franchise. Boxing has no franchise. It's a bunch of promoters pushing and pulling fighters back and forth with lucrative offers and deals and they end up on different networks for contracts. Thus, this model would yield greater $$$, though we don't always get the fights we want because of that. Actually, we rarely get the fights because of that.

UFC on the other hand is 1 roof housing all kinds of fighters. They need to be able to pay each and every one of them out of their own pocket. Even the ones that are less marketable as long as they're under that roof. To be able to consistently pay these guys, they would be lesser purses but on the other side to that, they would have to fight more often and the better matches are made since UFC controls it all.

Boxing basically gives you lottery type opportunities. You're hoping to score or land that 1 mega fight, even if you didn't earn it or shouldn't even be in anyway in a position for it. Sometimes being used as a puppet for the other guy's show just to keep X cash cow continuing to bring in the big bucks.

People who complain that boxing is dying and not enough good fights are happening will quickly jump on Dana for his comments, but the pay boxers get, and I'm talking about the cream of the crop, is why they don't see any need in fighting more than once a year or taking risks. And UFC fighters are not underpaid in the slightest; another silly myth that spread because some UFC fighters tried copying Boxing divas. They are paid reasonably well and I absolutely love the fact that entertainment still dictates how popular and wealthy a fighter becomes - every UFC fighter KNOWS they have to give the fans a fight.

Regardless of uniformity, the top 20 UFC guys make way less than the top 20 Boxing guys. So how is that model better?
Boxers are not overpaid. NBA, NFL, and MLB have a lot of overpaid players. A lot. But I understand that it’s league based and they have pension for their players.

Dana is a low life. He can make a different argument without saying boxers are “overpaid” considering how low lives like Don King, Bob Arum etc steal from their fighters.

Can't believe he said this considering he pays his fighters peanuts and don't allow them to use their own sponsors.

Really? What is the average salary for a boxer? I mean I can look up the average salary for a weilde, a medical tech, etc... but what should the average pay for a boxer be?

White is full of crap. Fighters have short careers and hardly feed families from fighting regularly. Fighters make crap because the promoters take it. The promoters that do not fight, and have no skin in the game. Thats absurd. White, Arum and all these sycophants should get a small percentage of what the fighters make. They are not the ones fighting! And yes tabulate their costs and give them a reasonable percentage for their trouble.

One can justify it any way they want... ripping off fighters is wrong.

White getting butt hurt over boxer's pay because his fighters feel like they risk a lot more for a lot less. They're beating each other half to death while he just sits back and rakes in the cash.

Boxers do as they are told. There is no real "payscale" for a profession where your years are limited, and where there are no guarantees of anything. The problem lies in a market set up where so many people are grabbing the money. Promoters are not needed. Let fighters work with people like the Paul Brothers and promote their own interests. Fans can then pay what they want, it can go into a securitized escrow account, held until the fight takes place... This is an efficient market where we can know what a fighter is worth.

For example, lets have Bud and spentz scream and throw dog turds at each other behind cages. Have them threaten each other, swear oaths, Like DAvid Haye and Chisora did!!! then let this all go on social media. let things spread, marinate... who needs a promoter! And then fans will tell us what the fight is worth.
