  • Thought I'd chime in on this because was too drunk last night to do so.

I felt this was stolen from Amanda, period. Either make the fight a draw or Amanda should of got the nod. No way did Taylor stand out as the busier fighter that put on more damage. Heck, her face looked bust up and defeated at the end and you basically knew off that who was getting the better of the fight. Sure, I though Amanda started a tad slow but in the second half, she clearly stepped on the gas and I honestly thought Taylor was taking too much punishment. Then to hear at the end the announcer call her the winner? I felt like I was robbed.

Sucks for Amanda but I hope she won over even more fans and she can go on to another huge paycheck because she deserved it.

That would be an alelaide byrd type scorecard

      • Taylor lost that fight! Did she rally in the later rounds? Yes, but Amanda owned her, nearly dropped her and hurt her several times throughout. Even Katie was surprised that she was announced the winner.

        • Katie won the decision, so deal with it you flakes. All the people on here dropping emotional salt and crying robbery are the same people who say "just accept it" when the decision goes their way. Flakes don't have the emotional fortitude to maintain that energy for boxing on the whole.

          • I had been predicting Serrano win by KO before the fight. I believe Amanda lost by taking her for off the pedal, letting Taylor back in the fight. Taylor was on shakey legs in the 7th after getting blasted in the 6th, and Serrano should have gone after her.
It reminded me of DLH-Trinidad when Oscar let Tito off the hook.

There were 3 or 4 very close rounds. 96-94 either way was ok by me but 97-93 Taylor was in Adelaide Byrd territory.

For someone so sure Katie “won” you sound awful petulant and defensive. Look, just admit she got a gift decision and leave it at that.

Yes it’s funny how Katie is trying to put on a brave (badly bruised) face by now acting like she was a clear winner.

                • In the 10 point must system, the way it’s scored now, it’d be perfectly reasonable to have 6 of those rounds for Katie Taylor and have her the winner. The problem is, the 10 point must system doesn’t always reflect who, overall, did better in the fight. My solution:

They desperately need to give more 10-8 rounds. Judges are allowed to give a 10-8 when there is no knockdown, needs to happen way more often.

Ring generalship, aggression, and much harder punching all belonged to Serrano. Serrano had Taylor out on her feet in round # 5. Some might say one could call that a 10-8 round. Serrano won the 1st 3 rounds easily. Those rounds weren't even close. I will admit that Serrano took her foot off the gas in rounds 7-8 & 9. Those rounds she lost. But, lose the fight? Never in a million years. The commentators were shilling every punch Taylor threw from Rd.1 on. That's why the Arums, Kings & the like tell the judges that they will never work another fight that they are promoting if they don't score the fight for the boxer they are promoting. End of story.
Do you even know boxing? So by admitting she lost the second half of the fight, and clearly lost the first 3 rounds, and round 10, then she still wouldn’t of won. Boy you out of the woodworks “boxing experts” don’t know boxing too well. Serrano really only had two definitive rounds at best. Try again buddy.

The same clowns who thought canelo beat golovkin, or Andre ward won the first fight against kovalev. Just a bunch of emotional crybabies on Twitter sad their boricua queen lost. Serrano literally only won three definitive rounds best in the fight, lost the first three rounds, and lost the entire second half of the fight. All you crybabies screaming robbery clearly go off emotions, and don’t really know how to score boxing.
