They might as well just create their own PBC belt . No one fights anyone outside that little circle .

If you think about it? Ruiz Junior since losing to Joshua, with Arreola and now Ortiz is on a extremely respectable run of fights.
His resume is solid, one of the best in the heavyweight division.
I think Ruiz Junior has regressed, or maybe it is the shock of dropping weight. I just think his durability has gone out the window slightly.
Maybe now with his second fight back, his form will normalize.
I still want the third Ruiz Junior vs Joshua fight to happen etc.

People are delusional about Arreola when he fought Ruiz. I guarantee you that if somehow we could keep people blind to his age, if they looked at the incredible numbers Chris put up for punches thrown a round, and the way he conducted himself in the ring, a different opinion would emerge. And Ruiz for his efforts was equal to the task: There were record number of punches thrown that fight and both guys delivered. Aerreola came in looking better than any time I saw him in his career. He was lighter, faster, showed great experience... whats to hate?
Yet people choose to hate on Arreola and Ruiz. And of course the hate for Ortiz lol. Its ridiculous. Certainly Ortiz is older and there will be a time soon when its obvious he is past it. But people discount Ruiz who is fighting guys who have talent and can give him invaluable experience. Ruiz is approaching his twilight and has to be up to the task, but I think if he can fight more often, he deserves credit and another opportunity.
Ruiz has talent, good fast and heavy hands... if he can get those feet moving a bit more, learn how to cut the ring, pressure more, he has the volume! he has the power! and he has the chin to maybe be the division's dark horse.Last edited by billeau2; 04-28-2022, 08:33 PM.Comment
