    Still an interesting fight.
I think Ruiz gets the stoppage.
Good set up for the Wilder fight.

And Ruiz for his efforts was equal to the task: There were record number of punches thrown that fight and both guys delivered. Aerreola came in looking better than any time I saw him in his career. He was lighter, faster, showed great experience... whats to hate?

Yet people choose to hate on Arreola and Ruiz. And of course the hate for Ortiz lol. Its ridiculous. Certainly Ortiz is older and there will be a time soon when its obvious he is past it. But people discount Ruiz who is fighting guys who have talent and can give him invaluable experience. Ruiz is approaching his twilight and has to be up to the task, but I think if he can fight more often, he deserves credit and another opportunity.

Ruiz has talent, good fast and heavy hands... if he can get those feet moving a bit more, learn how to cut the ring, pressure more, he has the volume! he has the power! and he has the chin to maybe be the division's dark horse.
People turned against Ruiz on here the second he lost to A.J . Prior to that he was the next big thing .

Ortiz is another story but similar, he got dropped by Martins jab and any bad showing against Martin foils the agenda against A.J who supposedly fought bums .

Ortiz is more disliked for turning down fights while telling the public an entirely different story so much his manager had to make a public apology to his own fighter after Hearn exposed him ,I can’t imagine why he wasn’t fired ? I think the Hrgovic offer declining was just the added stuff .

I wouldn’t mind seeing Ortiz win but then what comes out of the woodwork next would be Wilders second barrage of crazy people claiming Ortiz is better then A.J if he did that .

Ruiz looks hella young in the last video I saw him predicting Canelo v Bivol. He didn’t look ballooned up either, and I know it’s hard to really tell until they get on a scale.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Ruiz got dropped at some point, but he’s the type of guy that can get up and come back. Ortiz’s legs are starting to go. I think Ruiz wins, but he won’t look like the world beater he once did. I don’t think he’s in love with fighting anymore. I don’t think he’s inspired. He beat AJ who then beat him in the return, and then AJ has since lost to Usyk handily. Fury must seem like a bridge well too far.
Id love to see Ruiz come in great shape, and give himself a night that really motivates him to take some more big fights. Love to see him vs Wilder or an Usyk if he starts looking good. I just don’t see him stringing fights together regardless. Lucky to see him fight once a year I’d think. We will see.
