It remains to be seen how Lubin recovers mentally, besides physically. This kind of brutal beating can break something inside, not only the nose.

I'm not sure Fundora allowed him to follow the corners instructions. Fundora smothered him and constantly fired shots. It's not that easy to implement the plan when the other guy doesnt let you. That being said if Lubin trained for a full time fire fight and worked on stepping around that kind of pressure he would get better results. I'm just not sure he could manage to beat Fundora it's a bad style match up for him.

Lubin was completely dominated. Yes he had moments. That said, he took a severe and brutal beating.

Fondura should move on to the elite in the division.

Lubin has now lost both times he’s fought upper echelon opponents in the division. He needs to rebuild back and hopefully he can land another title shot down the road.

Personally I think he would of gotten Fundora out of there if there was a little more time in the round

Lubin unfortunately just doesn't have it.
          Where is Hurd and J-Rock.
Tony Harrison always comes back. Those guys have been MIA.

Unlikely, especially with his shoulder injury. He stopped throwing the last two rounds. Fundora would have just continued to pour it on and would have gotten a stoppage without Cunningham having to stop it.

              Yeah. I agree.

What I am saying is if he had survived without the injury, we would be complaining about a robbery because I don't see how the judges had Lubin up at that point.

Fair point. I just don’t think that warrants a rematch given the totality of the fight.

I say it's too soon. Lubin has to learn to make some adjustments before ever fighting Fundora again. He needs to implement more road work in his training regimen.

He is going to need his legs to move and to move lot against Sebastian. He has to be a fleet-footed fighter in order to win this fight. If Erickson decides to stand trade and exchange flat-footed with Fundora then we will get the same result.

I agree. The beating Lubin took can ruin a fighter's career overnight. We don't know what condition he'll be in both mentally or physically once he returns back to the ring.

I also believe if he had time on the clock when he put Fundora down , he would of taken him out
i agree with this, they were both saved by the bell. fundora took a knee at the right moment. i wouldn't mind a rematch.
