Never seen a shot 40 yr old fighter just get his third win out of nowhere and the bigger, stronger fighter just decides to stop punching after he spits out his mouthpiece. Wilder and Scott wrote all over the fight. People are foolish to think DAZN will let the revenue stream get messed up after a 4.2 billion recapitalization. This fight pretty much shows you why they didn't push for an Andrade unification. Andrade is hard as hell to hit cleanly and is very good at picking apart limited mobility and flat-footed fighters

Murata fights almost nothing like Canelo. GGG clearly wasn’t worried about his power or counterpunching ability.
GGG fights like that against Canelo he’ll be eating counters early and get dropped for sure.
GGG still has some pop but he can’t pull the trigger with a high level of activity like he used to.
Canelo beats Bivol and then GGG at 168 is a stay busy fight and just a big payday DAZN was willing to hand him TBH.

i think ggg did better than i expected him to do actually, he went all the way to japan and took that guys belt & now he should get a very nice payday, ggg will have a plan to fight nelo, cant see him winning but i think he may do a bit better than most here think it will go

I thought his punch selection, clean punching, and workrate were still very good. Stamina seemed a bit off but not much. Same with punch resistance. Seems to be aging very well for a 40 year old fighter. I'd say line up Canelo 3, then Andrade or Charlo or a top guy or two at 168 and maybe call it a career.

It's also important to consider that GGG's diminished stamina and punch resistance could be more attributable to his time away than his age. Sure, age is a factor, but its reasonable to believe that GGG will be sharper all around in his next fight now that he is fighting again. We'll see.

He can't pull the trigger...but he lands more punches vs Murata than Canelo threw vs Saunders. And throws 400 more than Canelo threw. It's like there is no good analysis on this site.

Murata stands right in front of his opponent with no movement, Saunders moves all over the ring. It's doubtful an older triple g does better against canelo than the younger one did.
