Benavidez is awesome not taking away anything from him. But to answer the question, Ellis just sits there and takes the abuse. Canelo would be moving way more in and out of range and landing more strategically. Canelo is not going to sit in the pocket and let David unload.

That speed, power and and relentless volume combined with size. I can't see how Canelo has anything for Benavidez, and I think its obvious Canelo and his team realise it also. Benavidez is the most vicious fighter since a prime Manny.. Ellis is a tough solid fighter who is a long term Canelo sparring partner and David made him look like a heavy bag. He's shown many examples of controlling distance, using head movement, and moving in and out when oppents are throwing combinations on him. I can't help that you base Canelo's ability from what I'm imagining is one fight or clip.
