"Canelo should fight Bivol, Beterbiev, then Smith Jr. first. Then the 168 contenders Morrell Jr., Benevides, and Andrade/Parker winner next. Charlo and GGG last."

It might be too soon to fight GGG. He'll only be 42 by then. Better to wait til he's 50

Don't be surprised if Golovkin is knocked out in his upcoming fight. Damn he has aged. While he can still punch; However now he looks like a washed up fighter. He has lost a lot of of his stamina, speed and timing; Which are tell-tale signs of a ruined fighter.

I agree with you. I don’t think Canelo-GGG happens. Murata will beat GGG and Canelo will use that as an excuse to fight either Murata or John Ryder in September

You make sure to mention that he's fighting bums, Murata (WBA Super) is a bum I suppose, whom many expect to beat Golovkin, who then must be a double bum, nah...a TRIPLE B....-and the others he's fought.

Rolls,(22-1) Derevy, Szer. (23-2). Rolls and Derevy within a 4 month period.

2 KOs and 1 UD. all a few years younger than GGG. SZ is 8 years younger.,

Something that Golovkin based his entire career around and never accomplished, and now that his old he “earned” the right to keep fighting no hopers after no hopers
Maybe...but ALL the writers were saying for several years, that Golovkin was the most avoided fighter in boxing. And on this site.

Do you really think GGG didn't want to fight contenders/title holders at the time? He is a warrior who will fight anybody - it was mainly K2 Promotions who governed who he fought (the same outfit who selected many of Wladimir Klitschko's low risk fights). Also there was the issue of nobody wanting smoke with Gennady when he was at his peak - this was a very real thing which people seem to forget about now... Take this for example; this was the attitude coming from a unified 168 champion

Canelo simply gets privileges which other great fighters don't. Him "unifying all the belts in under a year" was unprecedented because of how ridiculous it was

Callum Smith - Voluntary WBA title shot & vacant WBC title
Billy Joe Saunders - Voluntary WBO title shot
Caleb Plant - Voluntary IBF title shot

No other fighter is getting those voluntary fight luxuries that Canelo got to achieve undisputed in under a year - it just doesn't happen! You could easily argue that Benevidez or Charlo would be undisputed at 168 if they were scheduled with that same opponent list that Alvarez had but they weren't so they aint.

Calm down ppl calm down. We are always told you should never really look over thee shoulder of your next opponent and from the small news story here that's all he is really saying.

And even if he didn't want a 3rd fight anymore so what. He gave Canelo the 2 hardest fights he has had in years. He has been there, done that and got the T shirt. If he turned the fight down then maybe weasel Espinoza and the cult of the PBC should put some money aside just incase and try get a Charlo or Benavidez fight in there as a replacement.
