I like Canelo approach much better. We know his plan through September. Last year we knew his plan for the entire year.! Yes his planned failed he didn't fight in September he had to wait until November last year. It's OK, the only tears I saw were from Caleb Plant and a few haters. But me as a boxing fan was very happy knowing what would happen.

Golovkin can go kick rocks. Canelo certainly doesn't need him.

nah it can't be the same with other fighters. canelo can plan ahead like that because even if he loses to bivol he can easily go back down to 168 and still be the undisputed champion. everyone at 168 or 160 will still be very interested to fight him including golovkin. golovkin on the other hand, if he loses to murata, he can kiss the canelo fight goodbye. what he said not wanting to discuss the canelo fight yet is the right thing to do.

Fighting bums until the canelo payday. Let’s not celebrate that while criticizing everyone else doing same.

Unification with Andrade should’ve long happened.

Canelo stardom does offer huge advantages.I still think young fighters should always have a 5 fight plan in their minds. If you are 40 and maybe washed that's a different story. I think Fury, Okolie, Smith Jr., Jermall, Jermell, Spence, Taylor, Kambosos, and Stevenson etc all could lay out a plan. Instead, what do we get? "I'll fight whoever they put in front of me", "I got to talk to my manager" Who?, "my manger Mr. Al Haymon", "different sides of streets", or my personal favorite "im playing chess not checkers". I just wish they would stop playing and work towards greatness I believe they could achieve. It sounds so easy behind this keyboard lol

Actually he does, because both fights, regardless of who you think won, were debatable and close and weren't decisive wins for either fighter. At 40 years old and Canelo at pretty much his peak I think there's a good chance GGG taking a beating and I'm sure that possibility is way too tempting for Canelo and his ego to pass up. Nevermind the money.
