He was only overrated in his trash talk. He had to come up with sayings beforehand and the best he could do was “if he keeps talking jive, i’ll cut it to five.”

Hell no not at all. He did dodge the draft like the plague though. He loses my respect as a human for that. Especially when you see fighters like Lomachenko, Usyk and the Klitchko's bros on the front lines willing to fight and die for their country.

      Great boxer though.

I do think Ali got several gift decisions, most notably against Norton.

But even if all those decisions had gone against him, he's still one of the top 5 all time heavyweights.

By my count, he faced about 10+ arguably 'great' fighters (at the time of the fight), in fairly neutral venues. No one else imo comes close to that level of competition. For me, that is why he is the GOAT.

He 100% made the right call. I'm sure he would have had a fairly cushy post, but they really wanted him drafted so they could recruit more blacks and use them (and all the other white soldiers too) as cannon fodder in that dumbass pointless war. Ali imo didn't want to be the token guy used to get more of his people killed. I commend that.

Ever since WW2 we've fought about 10 dumbass wars against communism. Great job we did there in WW2.

                  Great chin
                  Best footwork
                  Best movement
                  Super fast hands
                  Decent pop
                  Decent size.
                  Great Stamina.
                  Big Heart.

Ali was a nightmare at heavyweight.

Even those guys that did beat him did not have an easy time.

Joe Frazier he's pretty much known for giving Ali his first loss. Quarry, Ellis, Bonavena, Foster, these guys had loads of losses when he fought them and he fought a few of them a few times. Never fought Lyle or Norton, Foreman turned him into a leprechaun. Not a ATG but Ali make him ATG title reign nothing special

Ali lost to Spinks a decent fighter at best yet again Ali fans think Spinks is some god and always mention him in Alis resume Ali media hype is in another level
Frazier Norton Listo, Lyle, Young Folley, Bonavena, Quarry are not different than Ruddock Tucker Mercer Moorer Byrd Alis resume is no better than any other great0 dominant HW champ But Ali era got and still the most media attention and exposure his myth and resume are distorted
N , I don't think so, although he had a few narrow escapes, and he ducked more thanhis share.. Why did he never fight Larry Holmes, who, in my opinion and that of many orhts , would have beaten him 8 times out of 10.

Themost overrated Heavyweight Champion al ALL TIME counting every division as one, was Rocky Marciano. 100%.

If you look at any respectable Top 10 ATG list, Ali beat 2-3 of them.

The greatest HW ever, there is no doubt about that.
Which all time greats did Ali beat. It's just your opinion. Maybe others, like me have a different opinion. I base mine on FACT not nostalgia or sentiment.
