i can’t think of anyone. Obviously he did a great job with Ward from a youngster but apart from that, I don’t see anyone making real improvements under him

and don’t say Khan, his best wins were with Freddie Roach, he just wouldn’t stay with trainers after a loss.
I’ve always thought the same thing. He was fortunate to have Ward he was a gifted fighter. Outside of that I can’t think of anyone he’s had that their career improved. He seems to be Very methodical but I don’t sense that he pushes fighters or that he’s a great motivator.

Should have done tge rematch in Feb when it was planned but Rematchroom & sumner stadium greed.
Fighter's fight, AJ's a crossfit trainer that boxes occasionally.
here he goes again with Rematchroom stuff again. Never mind that your hero Tyson Fury has just finished a trilogy with Wilder.

pretty sure Usyk also would have wanted a stadium fight for more money as well

Looked the same to me. Still no head movement at all and his upper body is stiff.

I don’t think he’s beaten anyone that he wouldn’t have beaten before Hunter.

Time will tell though, if he starts showing some improvements in the above areas then we can credit Hunter

Just in general, I don’t ever seem to recall any fighter going to Hunter and making big improvements. Maybe there’s a reason why no true A level fighters outside of Ward ever really opted to work with him. It’s often guys nearing the end or coming off losses and hopping grok
        trainer to trainer etc.

I think Joshua just needs to get another fight on his record 'A non title fight'.. Once he gets another fight, another win, another beat down or knock out? This will do him good, and increase his momentum.

Anthony Joshua vs Andy Ruiz Junior III.

This is the fight, that I think should happen 'In the near future'.

Excellent post! Post of the day! That made me laugh… The influence of tv… Reminds me of when i was a young lad around 10 or so. I thought wrestling was real & I was a diehard Stampede Wrestling fan. The Hart Family owned it. They had a wrestler named Duke Myers who wore those short tights with suspenders. His thing was he wore a bowling glove & he would load it with something. He would knock the guy out & then pin him for the 3 count. This inspired me on the Greengrove Avenue wrestling Alliance (GAWA) circuit. We would be wrestling & i’d come off the monkey bars (Top rope) with my bike glove loaded with a battery & crack my neighbour in the head before rolling him up for the 3 count. Then I would run like hell. Usually the parents would pay a visit to my house shortly after. Soon nobody wanted to wrestle anymore…

Maybe you should have included a contact number?

Hunter is a better motivation preacher than a trainer. Maybe Joshua just needed some motivation. Lol

Back when he was fighting more of an aggressive style vs Whyte he took some big shots and held them well, when Usyk hit him with a stiff jab he looked panicked.

That's what I mean he needs to just accept the fact Usyk is gonna land on him and get over that with the mindset of "I'm gonna hit him back harder"

He also needs to attack him hard in the first round, not even really to try and ko him but to AT least smash a heavy combo into his guard, maybe grab him and throw him on the floor even, just something to let Usyk know early that this is a different fight.
Andy Ruiz ruined him. It's a shame really.
