To be honest Roidelo was killing himself for years to get to 154, got the gift decision against Lara and did avoid GGG for some years... But eventually he did step up and arguably lost the first and arguable won the second. After that he cherry picked Kovalev who admitted beforehand that he didn't think he was going to win. And he cleaned up a very weak 168 division.

Nothing to suggest that he is better than 'Geezer', although Geezer has come of age and isn't stacked up with roids in his system like Roidelo showed in the first GGG weigh in where multiple injection spots on his abs were noted around the 7:30 mark of the official weigh in video. So at this point in their careers the edge clearly goes to Canelo to handle the 40yo Geezer pretty easily.

If a guy can make the weight and wants to stay put, who cares? Do you hold Hagler in low esteem because he never moved up?
This is an accurate and underrated comment, but will get drowned out by the sycophants who feel that anyone who doesnt agree 100% with their stand is insulting their favorite fighter (not realizing that a comment can be made outside of the fanhood and biasness).

The apparent goal of many fight fans is to see a fighter move up in weight to where he is a failure, as opposed to seeing him fight at where he is at his relative best....which is asinine.

Fans can be logical instead of hypocritical ?

If a fan base is not going DEMAND their guy to do something, they better not DEMAND that other guy do it.

                How hard it that ?

Canelo moved up because he was forced to move up because the steroids in his body promoted muscle growth, hence he could not stay at the 154 or 160. GGG has never been a PEDer so was comfortable staying at his weight for his whole career.
