And maybe you don’t know this but fights are scored by round not accumulated stats.
Before the rematch GGG was talking about Mexican style and that he’ll see him in the middle of the ring and that Canelo would never fight him toe to toe etc..
Then the fight starts and Canelo is waiting for him while GGG is content to dance around throwing short jabs while getting landed on by the cleaner, harder shots. He looked like a guy content to make it past round 12 so he could cry robbery (which he and his groupies have been doing.)
Was an embarrassment and why GGG went into hiding and hasn’t been relevant since.
Now Borat wants that retirement check.
Its kind of ironic you saying that when arguably the best and most damaging punch was thrown by Golovkin in round 10.

Its common sense that if somebody is pressuring you (like Canelo was to G) you move backwards to the left and right to find angles to get shots off - this is what Golovkin was successfully doing, hence why he landed more shots than Canelo. The difference here is when Golovkin wanted to position Canelo onto the ropes he was able to do it (including twice in the rematch) but Canelo was unable to get G on the ropes, at any point, in 24 rounds. Let that sink in for a minute...

If Golovkin was only throwing short jabs then why was Canelo's eye pi55ing blood as early as round 4? Why was Canelo's nose badly dripping blood in round 9? Let me tell you - the cut Canelo had was a BAD one... It was directly above the eye with potential the drip directly into the eye. Were talking Vitalli Klitschko cuts here. Whoever the cut-man was in Canelo's corner they worked miracles because it didn't appear to be dripping until after the final bell (hopefully it was legal substances they were using to stem the bleeding).

Your boy took an L….and he’s about to sign for another one.

How sweet would it be if his only losses came at the hands of Canelo? I hope that if Canelo beats him, he retires to keep his L’s just from Canelo. How sweet would that be.
The point in backing somebody up is to get them to the ropes ultimately duh... If their back ain't touching the ropes they ain't being backed up effectively period. After Canelo felt the power of G's right cross in round 10 wasn't it funny how his back suddenly was against the ropes in round 11?

          By who? Not The Ring.

You spewed a pack of lies in this thread, Pinocchio. I can’t address all of them. But here is one.

          Ring April 2017 P4P:

          1. Chocolatito
          2. Ward
          3. Kovalev
          4. GGG
          5. Bud
          6. Lomachenko
          7. Rigondeaux
          8. Canelo
          9. Yamanaka
          10. Frampton

Not TBRB either, they actually lowered GGG after that fight.

          TBRB April 2017:

          1. Andre Ward
          2. Sergey Kovalev
          3. Roman Gonzalez
          4. Manny Pacquiao
          5. Terence Crawford
          6. Vasyl Lomachenko
          7. Gennady Golovkin
          8. Naoya Inoue
          9. Leo Santa Cruz
          10. Shinsuke Yamanaka

As far as many boxing fans are concerned, these are the two most consistent P4P rankings publications right now.

So who in their right mind moved GGG to #1 following the Jacobs fights where the press was literally split on who won?

Fights aren’t scored on one punch. Unless it was a KD, KO, or grounds for a 10-8 round.

GGG was backed up by Canelo in the rematch. He and Sanchez promoted the fight as “Mexican style”. Instead GGG fought amateur style and not even Sanchez could stand GGG’s whining.

He said it plainly, “He didn’t fight like we trained. We can’t keep complaining about every fight that doesn’t go our way.”

This guy called out his own fighter’s BS and got fired afterward.

As we know Canelo was only a young boy when he started his pro career - he was 15 years old and was not a full set man yet hence weighing in or around 147. I'm nearly 100% certain 15 year old Golovkin would've weighed in or around the welterweight limit as well. I've seen footage of him sparring as a 15 year old amateur and he looked very small but he obviously started his professional career much later as a middleweight after winning medals in the world championship and Olympics.
              Again with the lies.

Canelo was at 147 until he was 20 years old. Not 15.

Canelo’s critics were calling for a GGG fight just 4 years after that, at 24. After calling Canelo GREEN vs Mayweather at 23 YEARS OLD. He was ready for a guy with 400 amateur fights and 36 fights at 160, at 24, after being “Green” at 23. LOL.

You can’t make this stuff up. But I am entertained by your lies. I’m intrigued about your other lies

You are aware that on the very same night and bill that Golovkin beat Jacobs on in March 2017, Chocolatitio (the P4P #1 at the time) lost his first ever professional fight to Sor Rungvisai. In June 2017 Andre Ward then knocked out Kovalev but retired shortly after. In September 2017 Chocolatitio was knocked out in his rematch with Sor Rungvisai. By the time Golovkin fought Canelo on the 16th September 2017 he was P4P number 1 - I'm pretty sure it was with ring magazine although he didn't have their belt - it was vacant and on the line for the rematch only.

                  You are aware that…

                  1. Andre Ward announced his shocking retirement on September 21, 2017. This was the Saturday following the first Canelo vs GGG fight. Andre Ward was ranked #1 P4P by The Ring for this entire time until his retirement.

                  2. GGG wasn’t ranked #1 P4P entering the Canelo fight. He automatically moved up to #1 after Ward’s retirement. The draw with Canelo stalled everything. Everyone moved up in the P4P list with Ward and Gonzalez departure. This was AFTER the Canelo-GGG fight.

                  3. I have the entire Ring magazine catalog from 2017. GGG was never updated to #1 on any of their monthly updates before the November issue. GGG was P4P #1 by The Ring for the first time in 2017, for the November 2017 issue (officially September 27th, 2017).

                  4. It wasn’t TBRB either, they moved GGG up to #2 and Canelo up to #3 (previously 4 and 5 respectively).

These are small details, I feel you're being a bit petty here. With Andre Ward hinting at retirement and being very quiet at the time, most of boxing's most powerful people, commentators and broadcasters were already acknowledging Golovkin as P4P#1. Although it may not have been official at the time of the fight it was being put out there to the masses that he was number 1.
