I think he will call it a day tbh his delusions of himself are shattered he could of took the second loss to his grave claiming Fury cheated but after the third he knows himself he was all hype. He has made enough money and think the 3 fights really took it out of him will be surprised if he comes back even though i would always like to see the AJ v Wilder fight.
What Will Wilder Do?

I always enjoyed watching Wilder fight in the same way i used to enjoy watching Butterbean, both man of limited boxing ability (Wilder clearly better than Bean) but big power and their fights are always entertaining. I hope Wilder calls time on his career now he has taken a whole careers worth of punishment during those 3 fights with Fury and will never be the same fighter again. The fact Fury hasnt got much power meant Wilder got a far more sustained beating in each fight than he would have got against a proper puncher, for the body and mind they were absolute disasters for him so he is better to retire to enjoy his money and his family while he is still healthy.Last edited by hogey; 02-12-2022, 07:40 AM.Comment

Probably waiting on a big fight. I don't think Deontay is interested in Ruiz or Chisora. He'll want right back into the top mix or nothing at all.Comment

At 36 and locked in solid as the 2nd best heavyweight of his 2015 - 2020 Generation, given Joshua's disappointing stumbles against two lower top 12 contenders; in one of the better divisions we've seen in recent decades, Wilder has nothing to prove. With that tremendous punching power and his unorthodox style (often mistaken for lack of skill by non-industry fans), he has options galore, shoud he opt to prolong his career, as most of them do.
Losses aside, a fight with Joshua remains one of the biggest fights in Boxing, and one of the most compelling, and if the B-side Brit, Dillian Whyte should not be disposed of too easily by Champion Fury, or even pull off the win; that would provide a near perfect opponent for Wilder. The Bronze bomber would be a prohibitive favorite in both of these fights (If not by the betting suckers, by reality) given his ability to deliver the parcel to everyone's chin, including Fury's; and the rather fragile nature of his two other UK opponents. Many fans hate hearing this, but the facts speak for themselves. Joshua and Whyte are easy work for Deontay Wilder. He ain't no Ruiz Jr., Usyk, inexperienced AJ or Middle Aged Povetkin, at all. He's death for chinny empire-Brits. Even near great ones if their chin is wanting.Comment

He should be interested. I get not fighting for a title to him may not be as appealing but he needs some get back and Chisora would definitely be a good test and a confidence booster for him to return.
Or he may have come to the realization(I doubt it) that his one trick isn't going to get the job done every time. He maybe too old and lazy to want to have to actually work on his craft like a dedicated fighter. From interviews and the things he's said I don't think he has that kind of mental stability or drive to work through his deficienciesComment

The Great Nash has it on good authority that Wilder will be back at some point this Summer. Right now he is just fulfilling his twerking needs. Once that's out of his system, he and Malik "King" Scott will be back to show the world that he is the second greatest HW. Nash out.Comment

At his age and having his chin cracked if he keeps going it will be a matter of time before he gets dropped again.
Theres easy fights out there for him where he can still land that bomb.
I could see him gotta few east wins then cashing out and being fed to a champion to get a faded name on their resume.Comment

Ruiz/Wilder is perfect for both fighters right now. Especially for Ruiz who I normally would predict taking a dirt nap vs Wilder would be catching him in a vulnerable MindstateComment

Wilder fighting Whyte with ring rust is a death sentence for him ,after Whyte knocks out Fury he’s going to fight Joshua for undisputed ."Silence?" He's coming off back to back losses and all the champions are about to embark on a 12-18 month cycle to determine undisputed. He's taking a break and waiting to see where the chips fall.
If Whyte somehow wins against Fury, you can except the WBC to declare Wilder the mandatory and order the fight LOL.
