These are really good fights actually, clearly Bivol is on another level from any of these bums he fought at 168. If Canelo doesn't put any stipulations in the contract that would be a great win, IF he wins, not convinced he will, Bivol IMO is the better boxer especially at 175.

And GGG, he's past his prime and old but who cares, Plant, Saunders, Smith, all these guys weren't able to keep it competitive with Canelo, at least GGG was.

Good Schedule for 2022 for May and September I guess

Bivol fight only excites us the Super Hardcore Fans, outside of us most don't have a clue who he is and Canelo vs GGG Trilogy is just something DAZN always wanted

even Reynoso admits Charlo fight is the Bigger fight so that fight could still happen eventually

Feels like GGG 3 should be the first fight in this deal, and then Bivol at 175. Then maybe Beterbiev if all goes well for Canelo.

GGG is 40 but if he wants a 3rd run he should get the opportunity. I can't see Canelo actually beating Bivol at 175 with no restrictions but maybe he can lose 9-3 and get a decision or a draw still.

GGG's punch resistance at 164 vs Rolls didn't look great, and that was Rolls. He is going to be 40, and has no experience at 168 whereas Canelo does.

Still, if his jab is working and his punch resistance is still there, I could see him winning a tight fight on a normal person's scorecard, but I can't see him doing enough to get an official win over Canelo at this point.

That fight will definitely still sell though. Like a different/baby version of the May-Pac saga when it finally took place.

Good deal for Canelo. Tough fight against Bivol then finally retire BBB side. Probably knock him out in spectacular fashion.

That's not a duck. And so long as there's no shenanigans such as catchweights, etc., then Canelo has a huge set of cajones. Not only is Bivol fantastic, but he's a terrible style for Canelo. Or I should say HORRIBLE.

However, it's time for Bivol to start going for the knockout again.
What makes Bivol the harder fight?

I think at this point it’s clear athleticism, not power or size, make fights challenging or more difficult for Canelo.

Bivol’s style, lacking athleticism, wouldn’t be more difficult than a solid opponent with an athletic advantage over Canelo.

I don't know, I'm a big Charlo fan (obviously), but Bivol got great skills, rarely gets hit, has dominated some quality opposition, and is also a step up in size for Canelo. I don't know if it's fair to say he's not athletic.

Bivol lacks athleticism? Why would you say that? He looks very athletic. Charlo may be more explosive but apart from that I don't think I'd give one edge to Charlo vs Bivol.

Charlo has struggled with guys at 160 that are very average. Comparing him as a fighter to Bivol, who is pretty clearly better pfp 2 weight classes up, is a REACH

I’m not saying Bivol isn’t athletic. I’m saying he isn’t as or more athletic than Canelo.

Yes, he is skilled and has beat quality guys. But styles make fights, not previous opposition.

I just think it’s clear that size and power are less of a difficulty for Canelo than athleticism and speed. I also think he is a better boxer than Bivol.

Put it like this-there is a reason why Bivol is first and there is a 2 fight deal. Knowwhatimsayin?
