Bivol at 175 will be awesome. i dont care about GGG.

only thing that sucks is that locks out a possibility of canelo fighting beterbiev who is 37, so canelo fights him at 38 in 2023 the soonest.

so canelo fought kovalev in 2019 but will take a full 4 years at the soonest to face beterbiev if that fight even happens. that is the single most important fight for him to have made to prove he is the best, now beterbiev is old.

I agree on wondering why Bivol is the first fight; probably a timing thing. Or it's somewhat of a case of behind the scenes, where Canelo and co. know who is really who. Like how maybe Kovalev was ripe for the picking etc when Canelo sought him out.

My guess is that Canelo's performances (mainly fight 2) vs GGG have given him a lot of confidence that he can compete with anyone. I'm sure behind the scenes, guys know who is who. Might be the case where even an old GGG is/was still one of the best guys around those weights in the gym, and Canelo fighting so well vs him in fight 2 showed he could compete with any of those guys.

I like Charlo. I like his explosiveness. Even vs a younger GGG, I would give Charlo more of a chance vs GGG than Canelo, because of the style matchup, despite me liking GGG more than Canelo overall. Canelo's reflexes vs GGG's would be the main thing.

But Charlo as an actual boxer is very limited for the top level. I think that has more or less been proven. But definitely has a puncher's chance with his explosiveness for any top guys around his weight as well.
While we don’t agree, fair point about ggg fights being very difficult for Canelo.

Nobody's "undedicated." Maybe I just don't see a fighter the way you FEEL I'm supposed to see him.

GGG is 40 but if he wants a 3rd run he should get the opportunity. I can't see Canelo actually beating Bivol at 175 with no restrictions but maybe he can lose 9-3 and get a decision or a draw still.

GGG's punch resistance at 164 vs Rolls didn't look great, and that was Rolls.
Could you post the moment or moments in the Golovkin-Rolls fight when Golovkin appeared to be hurt by Rolls? I don't recall anything of note.

I like GGG. I also didn't say 'hurt' - I said I don't think his punch resistance looked great vs a very mediocre fighter in Rolls. GGG had his head snapped back quite a few times. It was a short fight, check it out.
