No problem including it if enough people want it but my inclination is it's too far down the food chain to include with no title on the line. Should be a fun fight and in it's favour the odds are really pretty close, but in no way could it be thought of as a top level fight and given I'm trying to keep the numbers down a bit this year I'd lean against.
Swift vs Jose B will be in though I think, even though I guess it doesn't really rate as atop level fight either and Danny's a pretty damn heavy favourite. Probably I ain't being completely consistent but in my defense Im feeling like I got cotton wool between my ears right at the moment.Comment

Well fellas you heard the boss. I’ll get the thread up by this evening and it will just be Garcia vs Benny.
Let’s just hope it’s a good one! Regardless of odds, I think it’ll be close to a 50-50 fight with Benny’s size and the fact that it’s a new weight class for Danny, also Danny wasn’t the best at 47. We shall see. Anyone have any questions or opinions?Comment

The only other exceptions I'd say would be a couple of ex-champs going at it like Khan and Brook a few months ago. But Danny vs Benavidez at 154 is kinda meh for me. August is just a quiet month and gives the PICK EM CREW a break as well. A fight like Ortiz-Ruiz can be in because I think they are top ten contenders.
I'd also add that while we're all doing this for the fun and challenge, at the same time we're in a competition. We have MulaKO and SUBZER0ED who are at the top but with hardly any multipliers left. If we start adding lots of undeserving fights into the mix at the tail end of the year then it kinda skews the integrity of the competition a bit against those people who thought they had paced themselves well with their use of multipliers but in favor of those guys, and there are a few, who haven't been diligent in using their multipliers. So those are my thoughts anyway.Last edited by SteveM; 07-26-2022, 10:43 AM.Comment

Personally, I'd be with Citizen Koba and go against these fights which only have one 'name' fighter - like both the Kownacki fight and the Garcia fight - UNLESS one of the fighters is a top ten and also the dog-odds are not too high. The exception would be a belt fight (the recent Breidis fight) - and I feel like all of those should be in even if they're at damned straw-weight (well maybe we can make an exception for 105 and 108 fights - I have never seen ANY clamor for those fights - I mean, last week Thai fight was cool but if one of them was fighting a mandatory against some unheard of fighter ... then not so much).

Sub, like goes without saying but... if you throw away your multipliers then you handicap yourself - and my point is that if we now add fights that are one sided just because there's a shortage of good fights scheduled then people can just pile in with x3 and at least pick up 90 points if not 120. I guess I'm saying there's room to tighten up things by having stricter criteria for fights, or at least sticking with the criteria in the rules, and I'd also suggest a maximum number of fights per year, per month, per week - but we don't have to have a fight every week.Comment
