Crappy career? What do you base that from and under what perspective? Compared to what exactly? Other fighters? His own PERSONAL achievements? Monetarily? That man has amassed anywhere from 2-4 million dollars which is more than 99% of the world’s population will ever see.

If Magsayo doesn't get the win, it's robbery. But ultimately, I think he was just at the right place at the right time. Didn't impress me, and I don't think he stays champ long unless he defends once per year against cherry picks..

Russell probably could've gotten the decision if Haymon wanted it that way but protecting Tank Davis was a higher priority and that's why they allowed a non-black B-side fighter to get the decision on a PBC card. PBC's been wanting to get Russell out of the way for a while.

So they’re only able to protect one black fighter and injured Russell to make sure he lost?? Makes sense.

Everybody here smelled upset yesterday. Old age, loss and greif were the main theme, but that is a sure bet. Nobody stays on top forever. He was a good wagon, he just stayed broke down all the time.

Yup crappy ass career compared to what could have been had he not gone on 1 fight a year against bums for 6 years SMH horrible career and one where it didn't pay off because if you think those earnings were affected by trainer pay taxes etc dude probably is barely a bit better than a regular 9-5er right now

And the boxing world can finally move on a little faster now. Hopefully Gary saw his shadow and stays in his hole. Magsayo will lose his next fight and the Feathers can get exciting again.

I'd say that's more on Roach then Magsayo, Roach is on the outside looking in he should've seen what Gary was having problems with and tell Magsayo how to capitalize on it.

Freddies corner advice is pretty much non existent these days. Although I did hear him give some okay advice today, in recent years he really doesn’t offer much besides “you gotta back this guy up” “more punches” “more combinations”. Never any real sound advice when his fighter is losing or making a correctable mistake. Kinda seems like he prepares his guys as best as he can based on what he thinks the other guy will do on fight night. There never seems to be any plan B or C with Freddie anymore

on the flip side Magsayo is also pretty green & doesn’t have a lot of experience. Also seems to have gas tank issues which is why I believe Gary was able to escape so easily most of the time. They made mention that Magsayo just started doing road work recently. Definitely something he’s gonna need to improve.
