Usyk himself wouldnt step aside, he's got Joshua's number and he wants to make some money, let him fight Joshua on the big venu, become popular in England and make huge cash doing it

I didn't say I picked Joshua to lose. I just said if he were the loser he will get pounded to pieces. Wilder is not going to do outbox Joshua that I can see. If he wins it will be landing some heavy bombs and I don't see Joshua giving up without a good fight which is why I want to see it. If Joshua were to win I can see him not doing much damage to Wilder.

The Wilder fight would be a good confidence booster for Joshua before a rematch with Usyk. If Joshua loses it would remove him from the other top handful of heavyweights. The same for Wilder if he lost.

I don't think Usyk has a choice to step aside. If Joshua wants the rematch Usyk has to honor the contract. Joshua is holding the cards, just like he was when he lost to Ruiz.

Good points. I wonder what Usyk stands to make in the rematch? Gotta be at least double what he earned in the first fight? More than he could make in unification vs Fury though? The thing is if he does lose ( imagine two judges stretching it 7-5 for AJ and one judge even ) does he get left in limbo as AJ moves on to fight Fury? Sucks to have to win twice to advance. At least a draw he keeps the belts. I’d rather see Usyk fight Fury next of course. All he has to do is win again I guess.

Joshua knows he will probably lose the Usyk rematch also. Whyte 100% knows he will lose to Fury so take the offer or move on.

            Fury vs Usyk: April 2022

Fury could be too big for Usyk and that could be bad for him because Usyk has proven with Joshua that he can fight at heavyweight, although Joshua never really tagged him like he did Ruiz so his ability to stay in a fight after getting bombed has not been proven. Usyk's size and skill could be too agile for Fury. Someone he has never seen. Fury looked vulnerable the last Wilder fight, giving the awkward Wilder too many chances to hit him. This fight would prove how skillful Fury really is.

            Joshua vs Wilder: May 2022

Both have lost twice recently and the loser should probably retire unless it was a controversial fight. I picture a brutal ending for Joshua if he were to lose. The winner would have the option to fight the winner of one of the other matches. A win for either fighter would elevate their status in boxing history. No fan can say they don't want to see this one.

            Ruiz vs Whyte: April 2022

Ruiz has not been stopped in two fights with Joshua and one with Parker. No doubt he is a test for any up and coming fighter. A win over Whyte would leave no doubt he should challenge one of the winners. Likewise a win for Whyte would allow him something to achieve that Joshua and Parker could not do giving him a shot at one of the winners. Who doesn't want to watch this fight.

            Parker vs Joyce: March 2022

Joyce needs to prove himself and a win should allow him a big fight. Parker is a durable seasoned veteran and would be a great test for him and would get him a big fight if they can beat Joyce. Parker and Joyce should match up well.

Not a good point about Usyk stepping aside. Usyk has to honor the contract unless Joshua opts out to the rematch. Joshua is holding the cards, not Usyk.

And you are right about making more money fighting Fury instead.

Right, it’s moot since Usyk is bound to whatever rematch clause he signed to get the fight in the first place. Still it’s a boxing forum and we hum and haw about all sorts mythical/hypothetical/magical/impossible things while the actual fights inch together. Nothing is ever set in stone in this sport. Fights get cancelled all the time for any number of reasons. I just feel bad if Usyk loses cause then I’d want AJ vs Fury instead of Usyk v AJ 3. Not really fair to Usyk.

I can see Usyk stopping the Nigerian robot TBH. Even Wilder with his shattered confidence should feel he has a very good chance to KO Joshua.

Hell, I like that match up myself. After this Usyk fight AJ would have at least 3 Ls on his record. i believe Joshua/Wilder would still sell even though it may be four years too late and they both have losses.
