Time for Joshua to step aside and challenge Wilder instead

These are arguably the best and proven top eight heavyweights today. March-May would be the best months of boxing possibly ever. I want to see them all. Joshua needs to step aside from the rematch to make it happen. Fury needs to drop the belt, and challenge Joshua and Usyk to scrap the rematch so Uysk can fight Fury. Joshua knows he will probably lose the Usyk rematch also. Whyte 100% knows he will lose to Fury so take the offer or move on.

    Fury vs Usyk: April 2022

Fury could be too big for Usyk and that could be bad for him because Usyk has proven with Joshua that he can fight at heavyweight, although Joshua never really tagged him like he did Ruiz so his ability to stay in a fight after getting bombed has not been proven. Usyk's size and skill could be too agile for Fury. Someone he has never seen. Fury looked vulnerable the last Wilder fight, giving the awkward Wilder too many chances to hit him. This fight would prove how skillful Fury really is.

    Joshua vs Wilder: May 2022

Both have lost twice recently and the loser should probably retire unless it was a controversial fight. I picture a brutal ending for Joshua if he were to lose. The winner would have the option to fight the winner of one of the other matches. A win for either fighter would elevate their status in boxing history. No fan can say they don't want to see this one.

    Ruiz vs Whyte: April 2022

Ruiz has not been stopped in two fights with Joshua and one with Parker. No doubt he is a test for any up and coming fighter. A win over Whyte would leave no doubt he should challenge one of the winners. Likewise a win for Whyte would allow him something to achieve that Joshua and Parker could not do giving him a shot at one of the winners. Who doesn't want to watch this fight.

    Parker vs Joyce: March 2022

Joyce needs to prove himself and a win should allow him a big fight. Parker is a durable seasoned veteran and would be a great test for him and would get him a big fight if they can beat Joyce. Parker and Joyce should match up well.

Joshua will never fight Wilder IMO. Just don’t ever see that fight happening unfortunately.

So your prediction is that Joshua should not take a massive rematch for 3 belts.

And instead negotiate a fight against a guy with no belts where you predict he is beaten by a brutal knockout and should then retire.

So, given it's his choice... why the hell would he choose to do that?

Joshua won't fight Wilder, he knows he'll get knocked out cold.

It's a fight I'd be interested in, neither has any chance of taking each others power, one is mentally shot, the other one might also be mentally shot, Wilder is more aggressive but Joshua is the better boxer.

Can't pick a winner but would like to see it.

It is not time for Joshua to do anything, people may not like this but? Joshua is on his own path, and is fighting his own battles.

His business with Usyk is not done, and he has a rematch coming up.

I understand that people cannot cope, or watch events unfold in boxing these days. And as Bernard Hopkins once said 'We live in a microwavable age, everyone wants everything right now'. That is not how the game works, Wars are a collection of battles. Anthony Joshua has lost one battle to Usyk, but was he really beaten to the point where? He must call his career to a end? Was he really beaten to a point where, Uysk was 1 million miles better than him? No.

Anthony Joshua should take the rematch with Usyk, and win or lose end this saga. Only then can other fights start to materialize.

All those fights you have mentioned, accept Joshua vs Wilder are poor fights in terms of match ups. Better events, with more depth can be made. Usyk vs Fury, if you take the titles out of the equation is a bland fight.

Deep down you don't want to see the fight, you think you do 'But you don't'.

I don't think the fight is going to happen, anytime soon.

If those fights came off this year that would be fantastic. I'd be up for AJ stepping aside for the undisputed fight to happen and we've all wanted Joshua v Wilder for years.

But then I could never blame AJ for sticking to his guns and trying to regain the belts.

With the exception of hardcore fans it's not in anyone's interest for an Undisputed fight to happen. The road to Undisputed just keeps up interest in other fights.

The only way Undisputed happens is if the fight itself is massive. So if it's not Joshua v Fury, then I don't think it happens.

I’d like to Joshua vs Wilder, but Joshua’s not incentivized to do that right now. Usyk is his biggest interest.

Windmill is done like a dog's dinner...

I'd prefer to see him more as a 2 bit actor in b grade movies than a 2 bit boxer in b grade fights.

I'm picking AJ to retire this year also...
