Yea I'm aware of that,i just worded that poorly. I meant to imply why aren't they pushing to sign him to a deal more than what they appear to be. Both seem to be a perfect fit for one another.Comment

Yep Ortiz is the #1 for WBO and its possible they could mandate that fight for a right to Bud. As far as the winner of Barrios and Thurman fighting Boots I think Barrios would sign a contract but I'm not sure Thurman would risk it. He is on record saying he doesnt even know who Boots is but I have a hard time believing that. I'm sure Thurman is aware of the risk he takes if he fought Boots but I'd love to see that fight honestly.
Maybe he fights the winner of Keef/Barrios for the right to fight the winner of Spence/Ugas?
Isnt Ortiz #1 for the wbo? Maybe the wbo orders that for the right to fight Bud since Crawf just fullfilled his mando with Porter?
As for Benn, I totally agree. I havent seen much from him to make me think hes on the level of either Boots or Ortiz for that matter.Comment

Yeah if he moves up, but he will, he's constantly saying becoming a 2 weight champion is his next goal. And when the WBO order the next mandatory that gets priority over the current no1. Just as Usyk did at heavyweight. The moment Taylor fights at 147, the WBO will put Taylor in the no1 position when they next update rankings after that.Comment
