Chavez lost that fight, no questions asked. everyone knows it, you have to count it as a win for Whitaker.

now, this may be an unpopular opinion...but I think Mayweather is more skilled than Ali. yup. not the greater fighter, but more skilled.
No I don't...as much as we wanna give Lennox credit for beating Evander, we have to?

I thought Malignaggi clearly beat Diaz...but can I just say Paulie won and add Diaz to his resume?

And I do think Floyd is better than Ali technically but who's better and has done more isn't even close...

JLC at the time was considered the best L.W and Floyd's 1st move was against him, the first fight may have been controversial but Floyd immediately rematched him and proved to be the better fighter.

        At 130 alone

        Jesus Chavez
        Carlos Hernandez
        Ganero Hernandez
        Angel Manfredy
        Carlos Gerena
        Corrales

        At 135
        Ndou
        Sosa
        JLC

        At 140
        Chop Chop
        Gatti

        147
        Baldomir
        Zab Judah
        Hatton

        154
        DLH

It ain't a bad resume, that's ATG worthy in my opinion. That's pure greatness and guess what?! HE ISN'T DONE!
Corley? Baldomir? Shot, bloated Gatti? Philip Ndou? Are you being serious?

Floyd has fought some good fighters. You denegrate that list by fluffing it.

Nothing wrong in saying that, most would agree I bet. It's VERY dangrous comparing NOW to BACK THEN, people can get very defensive. I said "Corrales at 130, like Foreman was a one punch knock out artists", they got VERY offended.

Nelson is an ATG ex, no one really disputes it.

This thread goes in with the Tyson fighting a gorilla thread as one of the most in the history of this forum.

When Floyd says he is and nobody else does, I kinda think, there is a reason for that.

Wat close fights are you referring to? One fight with Castillo...the Oscar fight was competitive but its clear who the winner was...
C'mon Genaro Hernandez? Corrales was his best win, Hatton a great win also and he decisively beat JLC the 2nd time. That is 3 dominant wins over what I can consider top level opposition.....he may have clearly won other fights against good opposition but I wouldn't call them dominations, just because you pull ahead on a scorecard does not mean you dominated an opponent in my view.....but I guess it is all POV and as far as ATG status that is all that matter is the POV of fans really.

That isn't a bad list at all. Ndou was a good L.W, 31 K.Os, 30 wins I think it was, no pushover. Baldomir also beat Zab Judah, decent win, Baldomir isn't that bad of a fighter.

yes, we can give Lewis credit for beating Holyfield twice.

I dont know for sure about Malignaggi vs Diaz...I missed that fight. but if an overwhelming amount of people(honestly overwhelming, like 10-1 ish) thought that Malignaggi won...I would give him credit for a Diaz win.

theres a very big difference between 'I thought so and so won' and 'Everyone thought so and so clearly won'.

...although, being the Chavez fan I am, Im going to say that although it clearly was a loss for him, the loss is exaggerated. he only lost by a round or 2, he was not 'dominated'.
                      just clearly beaten.
