Buddy isn't an ATG...Pernell deff got great fighers but no ATG's.

We could agree he beat Chavez clearly but going by the book it was a draw unfortunantely...

what does that say about his career that this so called ATG super fighter's best wins are corrales & jlc? Are those guys even HOFers? They are boderline at best corrales at least.

And neither does Julio Cesar Chavez...

You can build your resume to that level off of good, very good, and great fighters...

He has 39 fights. his best wins are corrales, castillo, old oscar, hatton, gatti, judah, & baldomir. that doesnt equal all this ATG stuff based on hypothetical match up wins & a undefeated record.

          it just doesnt.

I said ATG's not very good or great fighters...maybe some consider Azumah an ATG...

Whitaker's resume is better...I aint questioning that...

dont confuse supreme athleticism with supreme boxing skill.

Roy was more supreme athleticism than proper boxing technique.

when are people gonna realize that the old school fighters had more GREAT fighters in their time. Boxing isnt like what it used to be, but in this era Mayweather is the greatest boxer. It is not Mayweather's fault that other fighters arent as skilled and talented as he is. Mayweather is a true throwback fighter and alot of so called boxing fans will only appreciate him when he is gone.....he is the closest thing to the old school as were are going to see these days,.......

                  and who ended where?
People in villages who know nothing about boxing know Ali yet boxing fans don't give a damn about Mayweather they just want him to get tamed by a real threat

Corrales was favored against Mayweather, knocking out JLC, Acelino Freitas, Angel Manfredy, beating Casamayor...I'd call him a HOF. That's the best name in Floyd's resume. Don't ack as if Floyd should be ashamed. JLC at the time was considered the best L.W and Floyd's 1st move was against him, the first fight may have been controversial but Floyd immediately rematched him and proved to be the better fighter.

                    At 130 alone

                    Jesus Chavez
                    Carlos Hernandez
                    Ganero Hernandez
                    Angel Manfredy
                    Carlos Gerena
                    Corrales

                    At 135
                    Ndou
                    Sosa
                    JLC

                    At 140
                    Chop Chop
                    Gatti

                    147
                    Baldomir
                    Zab Judah
                    Hatton

                    154
                    DLH

It ain't a bad resume, that's ATG worthy in my opinion. That's pure greatness and guess what?! HE ISN'T DONE!

give me a break. 'going by the book'....Im a very big Chavez fan, but Im reasonable when it comes to him.

Chavez lost that fight, no questions asked. everyone knows it, you have to count it as a win for Whitaker.

now, this may be an unpopular opinion...but I think Mayweather is more skilled than Ali. yup. not the greater fighter, but more skilled.
