The rules have absolutely been broken, I'm sure you know that fully well.

Give Dillian the lowest split if you want - that's 30%. That's within the rules. But I'm certainly not going to support the WBC when they just make up new rules on the spot - whether I like the boxer or not. I appreciate people standing up for their rights. Everyone should do it.

I care about the WBC killing the sport. I would say the same thing if the split was 80/20 in Dillians favour.

Those rules were made so when a Mando with no big following or powerful promotional companies can get paid adequately for a title shot. They had other funky rules for pay for the mandatory so they could get paid more. There reason for the title shot is not only for the title but to get paid. They are prize fighters after all.

In Whyte's case that is the minimum that he should get paid is 20% of the purse. Either he feels he wants more or is satisfy with it or they can negotiate anything else should be done before it goes to purse bids. Whyte can always walk away.
