You can look at my past posts - I’ve always touted Ortiz as top 5. Joshua is not top 5 nor is Ruiz . This is why fighters avoid him , he stings you out of the blue and has an awkward style like Usyk . His only problem is age/ I’m 44 and can tell you that he got knocked down not because of being hurt but because when you get over 40 and have been athletic during life, your knees are weaker and balance isn’t as strong. Personally I’d like to see him whoop Ruiz next . As you could tell from the faces in the crowd, he can get the sales

Was Martin the favorite going into the fight? Anyone know the odds? This loss certified that Martin will never get another shot at AJ, that is for certain, he just isn't good, losing to Ortiz in this stage of his career.
Ortiz is still dangerous both guys are probably just inside top 10 maybe 10 ? I never had Martin in mine but I don’t think he’s so easy of a fight either . He was prepared fir this ,it was also two southpaws so ? Someone was going to lose ,had Ortiz lost Martin would get no credit either it’s just the way it is on here .

Ppl giving Ortiz no shot??
Sure same guys said that about Bek The Bully and PEDvetkin/Whyte 1.
To bad in the rematch Ped. Was still sic as a dog. I knew something was off right away.
Freddie Roach would of been screaming "I see IV marks". He's a ghost of himself...

I'll be honest here...Ortiz looked old and rusty in this fight. Maybe its the covid pause that is showing or Ortiz is really older than 42 and it is that is showing. For the sake of more competitive fights, I hope Ortiz gets better conditioning and activity and is able to prolong his career a little longer to get another title shot either against Joshua/Usyk or Fury.
If, however, Ortiz is having some knee problem or is unable to condition himself better, he should call it a day. But I hope he can give us 1-2 more years of competitive boxing.

He can punch but clearly he is old , not too mobile and vulnerable.
He might have maintained faith the whole time, but from the look of his weeping family it wasn't a sentiment shared by his loved ones.
