People will mock Ortiz, but? You have to give him credit for beating these guys at this stage of his career.

I think Ortiz should just go down the Derek Chisora route, never mind the titles. Chase the biggest most compelling fights that can be made.

Ortiz vs Ruiz Junior, Ortiz vs Helenius, Ortiz vs Chisora maybe these are all big fights that can be made.

If Hrgovic wants the fight, then he should be calling for it now. I have only mentioned Hrgovic because certain people seem to think he is some sort of heir to the Heavyweight titles 'I have not seen him display any ability miles better than all these other fighters' But he is a super heavyweight.

I saw posters mocking Ortiz if he lost to Martin . I did a poll so the entire forum would be incorrect, posters were just waiting to jump on here if Martin won because they were tired of Ortiz . I picked Ortiz by 4th round ,I wanted Martin . Why would Ortiz decline a title shot ?

      Yes I saw your thread.

I just think it is going to be difficult to get a title fight these days. Might as well just aim for big fights, and if a title fight appears 'Take It'.

His resistance isn't gone it's his legs that are finished

That jab wasn't his chin the way he came in and his right leg stiffened up he would have went down regardless of the jab landing or not

That first left hand he took in the first round was a hard heavy punch and a legit knockdown and ortiz took it went down and got up as if nothing happened,he would have went down like that at anytime in his career if that blow landed the same

Ortiz and Hrgovic are in the final elimination bout for the IBF ,it’s difficult because Hrgovic is going to most likely batter him badly but that’s his only way if he wants another title fight .

This is why fighters avoid him , he stings you out of the blue and has an awkward style like Usyk . His only problem is age/ I’m 44 and can tell you that he got knocked down not because of being hurt but because when you get over 40 and have been athletic during life, your knees are weaker and balance isn’t as strong. Personally I’d like to see him whoop Ruiz next . As you could tell from the faces in the crowd, he can get the sales
            Ortiz is top 3

            Joshua isn't too 10

He's looked old since his fights where he was supposed to be mid 30s,like really old. And Cubans are somewhat known for losing their paperwork and thus their age being unprovable, in which case why wouldn't you shave 5 or 10 years off.

Exactly. Ortiz is a great boxer and despite his age, he can still ****. Its not about the number, its about how you take care of your body, how much damage you take and so on.

If you start boxing early, have a long amateur career, go pro and are brawling alot getting hit while going on the inside you may have taken more damage by your early 30s than a guy in his late 40s with a more sustainable boxing style and someone who has taken less punishment. (Wladimir Klitschko comes to mind, George Foreman comes to mind)

Both knockdowns looked to me like he was off balance. His legs are just shot
