I've posted repeatedly about how TF Andrade gets Labeled Boring and not Bivol...

while me personally I don't find Bivol or Andrade "Boring" at all but yeah typically someone with Bivol style would indeed be labeled Boring so at least Bob is consistent unlike a lot of so-called fans who want to be selective with their criticism

Bivol aligned himself with DAZN when Beterbiev, Kovalev, & Gvozdyk were all on the same network. They were all free agents around that time also, but Bivol made his choice to avoid the other title holders.

If the demand was there to make big money putting on the event in Russia, Arum would be all for it. But there isn't.

You don't do unification fights when neither guy brings any money to the table and the fight will flop, especially when the two boxers are with different promoters. Those fights should not and do not get made.

The point of putting on boxing events is to make money. Promoters and fights will lose money building up to world title and unification fights to because that's where they make their investment back and hit pay-dirt. You don't put on unification fights that no one will watch that lose money.
So should we not just ban them from the sport then? Because they ain't American or stars they can't make big money for Bob so there is no point in them Boxing at all?

Why did Bob even take him on?

Yes, or if Hearn wants a unification it will obviously need to come at his/Dazn expense.

Meanwhile, over at TR, arum can either match beterbiev with Smith or either/both with canelo; all better business moves than making a Bivol fight.

He has no bing, ****, boom, to his game.
However he does have a world title and surely the Boxers themselves want to collect belts and unify and become undisputed and create themselves a legacy, just some crispy little kiddy fiddler like Arum isn't going to get rich off them it means they should just forget forging any sort of legacy?

No he didn’t. Beterbiev was on DAZN when he fight Johnson, Bivol joined chasing that fight , Beterbiev left.

Bivol didn't have a long term deal. He could have left by then.

This coming from a promoter lol. When even people with no skills can go on social media and market theiir bad fights with more success than the real promoters, you just have to laugh. Anyways, times..they are changing. The athletes are changing the game, promoters and sanctionning bodies will adapt or drop out. Lazy promotion style with lots of fighters to get rich quick won't work much longer. They spend more time in the media crying about how they can't promote or make fights than their top fighters do getting needed exposure. They had TV, then cable tv and they blew it, streaming means a slow painful death for their business model.

Not sure why people join boxing sites if they don't like skill. There are other fighting sport options for you out there but, this is the community/world we have..

What's interesting is I read your post and was surprised that it flopped in ticket sales. I looked at the numbers and sure enough there was less than 4k I'm attendance in an arena that holds 10k.

The reason I'm surprised is that I was there and the place was incredibly lively and loud (especially with the Ukrainian fans). I was pretty close to ringside and never really looked up to see empty seats. It had a big fight feel since so many notables were in attendance: Fury, Usyk, Big Baby Miller and Lomachenko and the boxing media was thick too (Coppinger, Mannix, Rafael, Idec, Malignaggi, Kim, etc.). Thanks for the info, I left thinking it had a decent live gate...
