Promoters have FAR too much power in the sport, who the fk is Bob Arum to say what fights we can and can't have.. if the two fighters want the fight, make the fkn fight. Simple

I agree 100% - fight does not make sense. Beterbiev-Gvozdyk did like 500k views on ESPN and flopped in ticket sales. Beterbiev-Bivol would do the same - there is zero appetite to see two Russian champions face each other in America. If the demand was there to make big money putting on the event in Russia, Arum would be all for it. But there isn't.

You don't do unification fights when neither guy brings any money to the table and the fight will flop, especially when the two boxers are with different promoters. Those fights should not and do not get made.

The point of putting on boxing events is to make money. Promoters and fights will lose money building up to world title and unification fights to because that's where they make their investment back and hit pay-dirt. You don't put on unification fights that no one will watch that lose money.

Nothing to see here....just more roadblocks in boxing.

Bivol may as well go straight to a fight with gilberto Ramirez now that we know unification aint happening for him as long as bob contols 3 out of the 4 straps at 175

Beterbiev wants no part of Bivol

he was on DAZN then ran away from DAZN as soon as Bivol joined.

Bivol calls him out in every interview but Beterbiev never speaks his name and now he’s hiding behind Arum

I really like Beterbiev but it’s obviously he doesn’t want the fight

Why would Bivol be ducking? He literally calls out Beterbiev in every interview and joined DAZN when he was there to get the fight, then Beterbiev ran away from DAZN straight away
