Is 20% for Dillian Shyte fair given his market value?

I don't like these low splits for anyone. It's one of several reasons why all our potentially great athletes are playing other sports.

Remember the Gloves Are Off episode when Dereck Chisora said, "you got paid 250 grand, my friend... AJ walked away with 3 million" and then Whyte goes, "you an idiot, you an idiot, you an idiot" and a fight nearly broke out so the security came in and they had to stop filming.

If what Dereck said is true, I guess 20% split here would be a nice upgrade.

Jokes aside, a challenger is usually not in a position to make big demands. He has to beat Fury first, and then he can get big money in a rematch.

Chisora was 100% dropping facts there. You could see it rattled Whyte instantly.

Whyte acts like he’s this draw when in reality he’s just another irrelevant HW desperately seeking a cash out.

I'd say 10% and he's lucky to get that.

No doubt that he'll refuse to move from 45% and then accuse Fury of ducking him.

His tactics are getting boring now.

If its in the UK about 35% would be fair for Whyte I think. He does bring a bit of name value himself there.

fighting wilder in the states in a trilogy is totally different than in the uk, fury is as far as i can see not popular at all actually, i could even say shyte has more of a fanbase, crazy as it seems

The PPV numbers and ticket sales for both guys are known. The purse split should be based on those.

well in the uk its a good fight for both of them & i think whyte is worth more than a standard mando fee because he is more high profile where the fight is going to take place, he will help make it a big event, fury with a lower profile name could well struggle bigtime and thats no good for anyone so fair compromise is good imo

Fury has made 50 million in his last two fights combined. Whyte has made 1 million in his last two fights combined. If it goes to purse bid, the fight likely ends up in Saudi Arabia.
