What exactly is he waiting for anyway?
Six months since his last fight in June
and he's supposed to be announcing his next fight.
Who else is there for him? Lara is also available.

No i dont think Jermall is great. He is a good basic fighter with size and power. He is always bigger than his opponent. He is not slick like a lor of people try to make him out to be. He is a basic european style. Long jab right and with a few hooks added in. He fights tall and uses his gifrs well. However he hasnt fought good comp and his best win is Dervychnko. Dervy has fallen off recently too. Lets not forget many thought he lost to Korobiv including myself.

He's a very good fighter. Good fundamentals, jab, power and chin.

I wouldn't call him great though.

Man, you have any idea how many world champs an ex champs has Danny fought and beaten? Do you know Danny was unified at 140 and that Crawford just picked the belts Danny dropped?

How the hell is Charlo with 3 good fights in his life Danny Garcia 2.0?

He is gifted physically but as a pure boxer or fighter, no he isn't great. Definitely a good fighter though, and his explosiveness makes him a tough test for anyone around his weight class.

Similarly, he can struggle vs non-top level guys too, if they can take his power.

I think Jermell is better than Jermall. At least he has unified and trying again on a draw rematch against Castano.
Jermall has kinda leveled off with Ronnie, when Mell changed scenery and added knowledge through a different trainer in Derrick James, sparring with Errol constantly, he has continued his growth

Better to fight a faded champion than a guy who was never, and never will be good. Because that's the majority of Charlo's resume.

Morales had won 4 of his previous 5 fights, including a vacant WBC world title fight at 140 in the fight prior. The one loss in that span was a MD to Maidana. Morales was past prime but he was not shot. He retired before he was shot, unlike most champions.

We all saw Kiko Martinez punish Galahad for not taking an older former champion seriously.

And even if you dismiss all four of those names, he still has way more good wins than Charlo.

Jermall Charlo is a very good fighter. But to be considered great, one has to defeat someone who is great. Jermall has not done that yet.
