I cant hate on Jake Paul but he’s way more likable when he is serious. His post fight interviews are too disrespectful, he needs to show some humility. But he is a good self promoter that’s for sure.

Jake has been beating guys who are not skilled boxers. His only big win was against a very faded and washed up tyrone who was making a ton of mistakes like letting jake off the hook when he is hurt, and biting on simple feints that led to his KO. Tyrone's performance was god awful. He was never a good striker in MMA.
I feel that tommy fury would have given jake a way tougher fight and possibly beat him. From what little I have seen of tommy fury, he won't make these mistakes that tyrone made for sure. Jake should thank his lucky stars that tommy pulled out of the fight.

That’s on them. Not on anyone else.

The Paul brothers are not taking attention away from any boxer whatsoever.

Boxers who aren’t a draw today, were not a draw pre-youtuber fights.

Crawford sold 150k vs Khan, and did no better vs Porter. Actually did worse.

Roman Gonzalez was never going to be a PPV draw.

Golovkin can’t sell PPV’s without Canelo.

The guys who sell decent amount (300k+) of PPV’s today: Canelo, AJ, Wilder, Fury, Spence, sell with or without youtubers “taking over the market”.

Jake Paul can’t take this invisible attention/PPV buys that do not exist for boxers you speak of. If the Paul brothers were not boxing, guess what? The fans who followed them here would not watch boxing.

It’s just like the arts, such as music, acting, painting, etc. The ones who get the most acclaim and highest pay are often less talented and skilled than those at the bottom of the ladder. It’s all about branding and getting eyes and ears on the “product”. People are more interested in hype than they are interested in true skills and talent. I’m not saying Jake Paul is talentless but I am saying he’s reaping the rewards from his boxing endeavours much more than his current level merits. I won’t blame him for that, though.

Ask yourself a question: If a ******ed looking oaf, with really little to no charisma to speak of... and who really just has enough boxing talent to showcase how poorley trained it turns out MMA fighters boxing skills are, can do what Paul has done... then what could a Crawford, a Devin Haney do? Two intelligent, articulate, talented and relatively handsome fighters... I mean no De La Hoya, but compared to the Paul neanderthals lol... And I mention that because, women are an untapped market. Look at how many sexy females fight now! when I was coming up there was usually one, or two!

This is what boxers have to start asking! For real! Paul is a trail blazer! And its so amusing to watch... Paul has pissed on MMA. But not on boxing! And any fighter san get a social media presence... Even a total sociopath with a very very low IQ like Charlie Zelenoff has generated some press! I swear please most high let me live long enough to see the boxing community force Arum and King and then the rest of the sychophants to go fck themselves. Mayweather already did it when he left Arum! Tank Davis has lost his prime because Money does not want others to succeed... How many more young fighters will follow suit? Dump the suits, get on social media and call other fighters out. Just follow what Paul does!!

We wont know that for sure until other fighters try and do what Paul does. Crawford is in a perfect position to do so BTW. There is nothing stopping a talented fighter from branding himself.

I would go one step further: Paul has given boxing back its primacy and taken a piss in the mouth of MMA... Its a complicated issue but basically? when MMA became a professional endevour, it was assumed that the striking skills were universally examplory. The argument was "there are just some adjustments needed because of the sport." Paul has really been a thorn in the side of that argument. He has shown that two MMA fighters... the first one looking like he did not even know how to throw a punch, the second unable to beat a content provider lol... are really lacking.

Claressa Shields wishes she was on Paul’s undercards like Serrano instead of bombing on her own PPV.
