Fighters fight towards a goal. If the goal is Shot Broner, Con or Broke ........

Do you know that Spence beat killer BUNDU for IBF mandatory position?

      How did he even survive?

Hearn & Matchroom are a bunch of wankers, but they're progressing Benn very well imo.

Because 99% of people on here are fans of the sport and just want to see good fights. We don't give a **** about the financial side since we aren't making anything from it. In fact they are taking our money.

spence was ready but the landscape was complicated. floyd held 2 belts and he obviously wouldn't fight spence. pacman held another belt. there was no chance those 2 would fight spence in 2015. only other beltholders were thurman (regular wba) and brook (ibf). thurman absolutely didn't want to fight spence even when mayweather offered keith a slot on his ppv (nice payday and exposure, this was pre porter and garcia). that's why spence won't give thurman a chance now. basically spence had to fight brook for a belt and it would happen only if he were a mandatory (hence the bundu fight). everything up to that fight was for the sake of being active and sharp.

i commend young fighters taking risks. fight hard fights early, make money and retire at 31, not the other way around (start taking risks at 30...). a loss here and there is OK.

Looking at his resume I do think he’s as ready as ever to step it up (and may be risking stagnating hanging around at this level any longer). I think Benn would make some awesome fights with Kavaliauskas, Bes*****, (Mikey/Danny) Garcia and the guy that just beat Abdukhakorov (although I don’t know why I’m bothering to mention PBC fighters). Ortiz is far too big for him, but Ennis with the tendency to get hit like he does presents an opportunity for Benn.

Business wise, a Broner fight if available is a no brainer. If people don’t think it’ll be a good fight (or a worthwhile card), don’t buy it. I won’t, but some really enjoy Broner for some reason.

I am not a fan of Benn and typically root for the upset (I don't dislike him but usually don't like those that are sons of legends because they typically get A-side treatment from the jump).

I will say I completely understand why they are progressing Benn at the pace they are. Kid has little to no amateur experience and he wasn't particularly good when he started out.

In addition to the above, he seems to be a revenue generator with a fanbase in the UK; Why not develop him slow and measured and get everything you can out of his potential?
