Davis is in his late 20’s now, hardly young, 28 on his next birthday.

considering a tiny amount of lightweights stay near their best after their early 30’s, I’d say he only has a few prime years left.

They are young because they have squandered their primes not fighting anyone of any ability... Nobody who might expose their lack of ability. That stat you quote is misleading. Many lightweights move up in weight. "Few prime years" well thats what a prime is... its a few years at the top... Davis has wasted his career but he is still a relatively young fighter.

Not only was he tough, he had his chin well tucked with a high guard he wasn't easy to hit, Cruz was undefeated and is a class fighter, fighting him was a bit strange for Tank had trouble with a shorter guy and timing him, one-handed for the last portion didn't make things any easier.

Its typical of this forum, they expect a blowout all the time from the top guys and if it's not then we get he is overrated blah blah, they never take into account the opponent was good they always come with the winner is no good.

Gervonta looked like a defeated man in the corner after round 11. He plopped down on his stool and slumped over, displaying horrible body language. He looked like he wanted to quit. Cruz took a piece out of him.
