It was the work to the body... Things Judges in boxing do not consider... Davis was flinching from those blows in the later rounds. Cruz hurt him to the body and it made Davis' attack less potent, hence the "my hand was hurt" sonata.

But having said that it will take special type of fighter to beat him.. Just because a guy like Cruz made him look like an ordinary fighter doesn't mean he isn't special. Cruz is a not a guy anybody would look good with.

I'd still take tank over anybody in the division
I honestly don't know how any one can be sure about young fighters, still untested, who refuse to fight each other. When we look at Davis, Haney, Lopez, Ryan, etc what do we have to go on?

Just to illustrate the point with an example: when the super middle weight tournament was held that Andrey Ward won, it included fighters like Froch, and many other well regarded fighters... to the point where Ward was an under dog and not pegged to win the tournament... Ward then dominates the tournament... Nobody really had much foresight. I look at the situation with these young guys at 135, most of whom don't even have their man strength, in similar terms. I dont think we know what Tank, or any of these other young bucks will do until they are pressured and show the ability to compete against good competition.

        Again...They're ALL overrated!

Now just because they're overrated does not mean they're not good Boxers. Tank, Haney, Lopez, Garcia...all good young boxers but people overrate them trying to compare them to Leonard, Hagler, Duran and Hearns ERA

he fights very similar to broner and struggles with weak opponents he shouldnt have fought in the first place. like broner. he also fights in many different divisions cause thats amazing? even though its just a tactic to be able to have a bigger pool of cherries to pick from. fraud

has he even won a real belt? i mean, anything he did at 135 and 140 means shlt 'cause we know who the champs in those divisions are, kambosos now and taylor. really, his only real belt came when he beat up pedraza, that's it

I think Tank beats Lopez, Haney and Garcia. But loma is a bad matchup for him. He has the physical tools but has mental lapses in and outside the ring.

I thought he won 7 to 5 tonight. Compared to Fulton and Figueroa, Tank showed how to turn a fighter and duck under hooks to circle to the middle of the ring

Not only was he tough, he had his chin well tucked with a high guard he wasn't easy to hit, Cruz was undefeated and is a class fighter, fighting him was a bit strange for Tank had trouble with a shorter guy and timing him, one-handed for the last portion didn't make things any easier.

Its typical of this forum, they expect a blowout all the time from the top guys and if it's not then we get he is overrated blah blah, they never take into account the opponent was good they always come with the winner is no good.

He is Broner/Mikey Garcia level fighter. he switches between divisions so he has more chances for cherry picking. He fights for "regular" ( secundary) WBA belts often.

This time cherry pick almost went wrong.

                      Not impressed by him.
