Just to illustrate the point with an example: when the super middle weight tournament was held that Andrey Ward won, it included fighters like Froch, and many other well regarded fighters... to the point where Ward was an under dog and not pegged to win the tournament... Ward then dominates the tournament... Nobody really had much foresight. I look at the situation with these young guys at 135, most of whom don't even have their man strength, in similar terms. I dont think we know what Tank, or any of these other young bucks will do until they are pressured and show the ability to compete against good competition.
Davis is in his late 20’s now, hardly young, 28 on his next birthday.

considering a tiny amount of lightweights stay near their best after their early 30’s, I’d say he only has a few prime years left.

There is a reason they won't put him in with any top level guys at 135 or 140. He is what he is, they all have flaws.

Its typical of this forum, they expect a blowout all the time from the top guys and if it's not then we get he is overrated blah blah, they never take into account the opponent was good they always come with the winner is no good.
I like Cruz but he wasn't undefeated.

I always rated him a tier below and this fight just confirmed it.

One way or another everyone will have an off day, apparently Davis injured his hand as well during the fight.

Also he wasn't fighting some idiot, but he was fighting a bull. knocked out Magdaleno, when Teofimo Lopez, a guy that few weeks ago he was the guy with three belts, it took him 7 rounds to do so.

Tank just beat a world ranked LW in a tougher than expected fight.

Tank didn’t get exposed or is overrated. Every single poster that ran with Cruz being a Mexican slow footed bum that PBC hired just to lose are the people that got exposed.

Maybe next time you idiots will give a talented boxer credit rather than force things into the anti black, anti PBC narrative.

Davis will never fight Loma while he's still fresh. I don't think he'll fight Kambosos or Haney either. Ryan Garcia is a possibility since he seems to have a bit too much hype and limited skills, but if he fights Ryan he can no longer hide behind the PBC protection program as an excuse.
