His best ranked opponets:
#6 Isaac Cruz tonight
#7 Jose Pedraza (reigning IBF super featherweight champion)
#9 Mario Barrios
That's it. The former champions he fought besides Pedraza were all aged and in the wrong weight class:
Cristobal Cruz (0-4-1 in his previous five fights, five years and one weight class removed from his title reign at featherweight)
Hugo Ruiz (two weight classes and three years removed from his title reign at super bantamweight)
Yuriorkis Gamboa (two weight classes and eight years removed from his title reign at featherweight)
Leo Santa Cruz (technically had a belt at both feather and super feather, but was unranked at super; easily the best win of the four, though)
Pedraza is Tank best win IMO and kinda Loma 8th best win lol...

You forgot Jesus Cuellar, a decent contender at 126lb who made his 130lb debut against Davis. He had lost his previous bout against Mares.
Davis has been moved along carefully in order to con the public into believing he's an undeniable P4P PPV attraction, and it appears to be working.
cmon - pillow-fisted, old, smaller shop worn LSC? That was a cherry-pick …and a retirement check for LSC who nobody picked and wouldn’t pick against any top jr lw. Barrios is b-level at best with average power…only got the fight bc of his Hispanic last name. Davis is very skilled with top tier power, but his resume is full of overmatched b-level Hispanic fighters. Wont get the recognition and praise until he risks that “protected” 0 against a real threat for ONCE in his career.
So how do the other top guys at lightweight fair against Santa Cruz and Barrios??? I honestly think they struggle with them.
This is hilarious - how about Tank just fights Crawford, Haney, Lopez and Garcia etc?? People will give Tank all the respect in the world when he fights these guys. Boxing used to be a sport where you became a top guy by beating the top guys. Not by saying how some guy you fought in sparring thinks you are great.
So besides Teo fighting Lomo, what top fighters are the other lightweights fighting??? And why would Davis fight Crawford??? Would u expect any other top lightweight to fight Crawford??? That’s not even intelligent for their managers or promoters to do such a thing. I don’t think Haney beats Barrios and Santa Cruz would give him hell. It’s not Tank’s fault that he’s fighting these guys. At least he’s doin to them what an elite fighter is supposed to do with them, and that’s knocking them out. Who has Haney knocked out??? Did Teo knock out Kambosos??? He actually lost against a “B” level fighter. So yes... Tank deserves credit, not for his opponents, but for his elite performances.
If you genuinely don't know, Gervonta, then I'll break it down for you. You've been at 130 jumped to 140 now back at 135. You haven't fought anyone of value at 135 & the fights have been there. If, as seems likely, Haney fights Kambosos then all the more reason you fight someone deserving of respect, ideally Lomachenko. If you can't get Loma then JoJo Diaz or, at worst, Ryan Garcia or Linares.
Carefully managed protected fighter. Not much to say about him. But his fights are entertaining and fans friendly.
But I don`t believe he beats top guys at 135.
He is the best known for fighting for WBA regular belts when WBA super champ also exists. Enough said.
If he is the star, Bryan at heavyweight is also the star, I guess?

Tank is 25. If he fights the top guys at 135 and I presume you mean guys like Haney, Garcia, Kamboso and beats them, would your thoughts change?
Boots Ennis is considered the hottest prospect at 147. Would you say he’s over rated? Would you say he doesn’t beat the guy at 147?
If Tank does NOT fight the top guys at 135 in 2022, then one would agree with you. The guy is just 25
