Tank walks through the top guys at lightweight. The only guy that will give him problems or actually beat him possibly is Lomo. I disagree with how Mayweather Promotions is promoting Tank. I think he would be a much bigger star fighting on Fox and not PPV. I think he would get much more recognition and respect. Hopefully after tonight’s fight with Cruz, he’ll get one of the top names in the division. But with his promoter’s blueprint, I’m sure it will be against Romero on PPV. That would be a disservice to Tank. He is a special fighter. He can go down with the all time greats, but only by fighting the top fighters of his era.
This is hilarious - how about Tank just fights Crawford, Haney, Lopez and Garcia etc?? People will give Tank all the respect in the world when he fights these guys. Boxing used to be a sport where you became a top guy by beating the top guys. Not by saying how some guy you fought in sparring thinks you are great.

cmon - pillow-fisted, old, smaller shop worn LSC? That was a cherry-pick …and a retirement check for LSC who nobody picked and wouldn’t pick against any top jr lw. Barrios is b-level at best with average power…only got the fight bc of his Hispanic last name. Davis is very skilled with top tier power, but his resume is full of overmatched b-level Hispanic fighters. Wont get the recognition and praise until he risks that “protected” 0 against a real threat for ONCE in his career.

it's a sport. You can't just say you're a top guy. You actually have to prove it by fighting other top guys.

They don't like Tank because they don't like Floyd! Just keep winning, and stay out of prison!

As for Floyd, a) This Sunday night fight is ******! b) PBC does not have enough for Tank to eat! c) If Al and Bob can do Fury vs. Wilder, then they can do Tank vs. Josh Taylor! Make It Happen!

I would have picked Teofimo over Davis before Kambosos--now I don't know. The Lopez team needs to be more professional or they will have more problems. Dad telling Teo that Kamboso is a bum was a big mistake. He should have fought with caution like with Loma. Teo's future success remains to be seen--better to be more humble or he will be like Keith Thurman.

Well, I know Tanks resume is not stellar, but at this point I have no reason to believe he's not the best LW, we will see what happens tonight with him. Haney is vastly overated, his lack of power will come to haunt him, and while his boxing skills are his strength, it's not at an elite level where he can get away from his lack of power. The jury is still out on Kombosos in my opinion, I'm not sure if that win was his skills, or more Teo not being prepared, overconfident, and now those health issues, not taking anything away from Kombosos, but more information needs to be gathered before we say the win was legit. Garcia, if he can get his head together, he might be able to make some noise because of his power, but usually when fighters don't have their head in the game, it's not a good sign and usually leads to disaster, so we will see what happens there, Loma, is there as well, but he's at the tail end of his career, still dangerous of course. With all this going on, In my opinion there's a dark horse out there that doesn't get a lot of attention, but is underrated and might make some noise if he ever gets a shot, and that dark horse goes by the name of William Zepeda.

I think Tank is a fantastic fighter. I've never called him overrated or a bum. My problem is him and his team say he WOULD beat fighter A, B and C but WON'T fight fighters A, B or C. Should he beat those guys then nobody has a leg to stand on in regards to criticism of him as far as Boxing goes.

You want credit for only fighting B level or undersized fighters then take it to your fanbase, don't be looking at real Boxing fans cuz we give that level of credit to the fighters who are deserving of it not the ones who are only demanding it.

Until you prove it vs the top guys at 135 and 140, youre nothing more than a former 130lb champ. 2ndary titles dont mean sh.it

In Tank's mind he is the best 135 pound fighter.
Now he needs to convince his handlers to let him prove it.
Meanwhile he gets a succession of "B" level opponents and some fools pay to watch it.
It's like enabling, keep paying your hard earned money to watch him fight low hanging fruit, and they will keep dishing it up for you.
