Brook is one of the worst managed high level boxers ever

He was unbeaten IBF welterweight champ. ( OK).

He fought top middleweight dog in fight he couldn`t win.

In next fight he went back down 2 divisions to get destroyed by his mandatory.

Than he fought 3 very mediocre guys at 154 , one fight yearly.

Than he drained back to 147 to get smashed by Crawford.

This guy has done some terrible career decisions.

I still think that Khan trolled Brook into fighting GGG.

Agree that he's made some daft decisions.

Crazy thing is he probably would have been #2 at 147. He was very skilled

He only fought GGG because Khan fought Canelo.

Khan had 0 chance of beating Canelo and Brook had zero chance beating GGG.

It was just a total joke that Canelo-GGG and Khan-Brook didn’t happen.

Too many egos and ducking going on all around.

He was being managed well until? People in his team should of held him back, and forced him not to take the Golovkin fight.

Fighting Golovkin was a completely unnecessary fight at the time. Golovkin was no mega star 'Kell Brook world wide in my opinion at that time, was the bigger and more popular fighter in terms of marketability'.

Golovkin was a unbeaten and intimidating fighter, but he has never been a mega star in terms of 'Attracting the masses or transcending the sport'.

It was that fight and the brutality of it which really damaged Kell Brook. People at the time were complaining about Kell Brook not getting the big fights, but who cares? He had a world championship belt, all he had to do was hold station and eventually a big fight at welter-weight would of surfaced.

Kell Brook is a really good fighter, you only have to look at the opening rounds vs Terrence Crawford. Skill for skill, Kell Brook was right there with Crawford 'It is just that the injuries he sustained against Golovkin & Spence Junior in my opinion still effect him on some level'.

Brooks skill is right up there I agree and he was punch for punch and feint for feint with crawford until that one mistake

Khan looked way out his league against crawford

But up until the stoppage Brooke was holding his own

You're not wrong in your assessment and it's a shame. I thought he looked brilliant against Porter. Between the stabbing on vacation and the GGG fight, I'm not sure he ever recovered. I don't think it's good for fighters to go up and down in weight like that either.

In his losses he always looked good early before he ultimately got stopped.

Those type of injuries he suffered against Golovkin, are traumatizing. Ever since that fight, Brook's breaking point seems to come more easily.

If those type of injuries where not traumatizing, Billy Joe Saunders would not of retired. I think one of the reasons why Saunders retired was because of his injuries.

Kell Brook against both Crawford & Spence Junior was not out matched technically, he was right there with them.

I favor Amir Khan against Kell Brook now, because I think his conditioning just may be too good for Brook at 147 pounds or whatever weight they are fighting at.

I have no idea what weight they are fighting at?
