Golovkin was a unbeaten and intimidating fighter, but he has never been a mega star in terms of 'Attracting the masses or transcending the sport'.

It was that fight and the brutality of it which really damaged Kell Brook. People at the time were complaining about Kell Brook not getting the big fights, but who cares? He had a world championship belt, all he had to do was hold station and eventually a big fight at welter-weight would of surfaced.

Kell Brook is a really good fighter, you only have to look at the opening rounds vs Terrence Crawford. Skill for skill, Kell Brook was right there with Crawford 'It is just that the injuries he sustained against Golovkin & Spence Junior in my opinion still effect him on some level'.
    Stop it.

GGG is getting more money than most of Legends from México.

He got 100 millions in the contract by dazn, and then he is fighting with bums by crazy amount of money.

He is getting paydays of 4 millions by fight vs poland fighters.

Brook against GGG is one of the worst pieces of matchmaking i've ever seen for a world champion.

Zero reason to make that fight, zero chance to win and zero benefit to losing. He was almost guaranteed to get badly hurt which is exactly what happened and he's never been the same since.

Maybe terrible career decisions but still an awesome fighter. He was holding his own for the first early rds vs GGG which was quite impressive. Eventually the size and power of GGG took over and there was no where for the little man to run.

He also did real good vs Spence for the first 5-6 rds and kept it competitive here and there as he took more of a beating in the second half of their fight.

Again, I think he's a great fighter but he had plenty of short comings and you could chock those up to his career decisions that may have made him damaged goods when he needed to be at his best.

Kell messed around in Europe too much as he was learning and growing

he would have been twice the boxer had he develop in the US fighting Mexicans and blacks

Idky Brook opted to fight GGG at 160 instead of Canelo at 154 who was somewhat closer to his weight. It was a very dumb move on Brook's part, the 3G fight ruined him.

i know that, obv kell's eye socket's are finished and it is no joking matter. However let's not act like the fight was 'close' just because crawford chose to take his time.

Golovkin is a big fighter, but he has not quite reached the level of a boxing mega star.

He is a level below the likes of Fury, Joshua, Alvarez etc

He was then, and he is now,

If not for terrible management & GGG.

                    It is a shame though..

The Golovkin fight ruined him, but he has no one to blame but himself, he was the one that pushed for the fight because he was shadowing Khan, who was to fight Canelo.
