It's just hate at this point bro, they know the truth but they won't admit it. There are way too many weight classes in boxing, people can trick the public by jumping up in weight to avoid a dangerous fighter in their weight class. Like going to 168 to avoid Andrade and Charlo but fight Rocky Fielding and Callum Smith. Real boxing fans aren't impressed. The truth is that Bud runs TOWARDS the smoke, Canelo runs away from it. Bud went UP in weight to 147 because he wanted to prove his greatness by beating Errol Spence. When have you ever seen Canelo jump up in weight to prove his greatness by fighting a young, hungry, undefeated lion like that? Never. These are facts, point blank period, and all the Canelo fans, even the ones who say that Andrade and Charlo are horrible fighters, they know this. They definitely know this

That's very true. Also, as you correctly stated; Canelo ducked both Jermall Charlo and Demetrius Andrade at 160 and avoided David Benavidez at 168 too which makes him a coward in my book,

He waited until Benavidez lost the title on the scales in order to clean out that 168 lbs weight division and instead of defending those titles; He has chosen to move up to Cruiserweight in order to duck David Benavidez again .Very solid post!

We can make **** jokes now on this forum? Wow that's not ok. And none of this is factual at all, Terence Crawford moved up 3 weight classes. How many did GGG move up again? How many times did GGG unify or become undisputed? How many controversial wins did Terence Crawford have? How many undefeated champions did GGG defeat? How many olympic gold medalists did GGG defeat? ANSWER THESE.

I don't really have a dog in this fight because I think the p4p is something everyone can fashion to imagine their guy being the one... But I want to compliment you on making some decent arguments. Again, I have no problem saying Canelo, Crawford and Usyk (btw lol) all arguably could be called a pound for pound winner. But its good to recognize some of the important things in boxing: Like proper house cleaning... example, Ward at super middle before going up... Or fighting the best fighters... Usyk fighting Joshua, Canelo looking GGG... Then there are skills and dominance... Crawford personified!

Porter fought top guys and lost...his resume doesn't hold much weight in that context. GGG is just a pussy that doesn't challenge himself. That doesn't mean Porter is better. What it does mean is that Porter has more balls to take fight he has no chance in winning.

Porter had a chance of winning... I see your point regarding the fights he fought "up" in because, he had to fight a virtual perfect fight to win... he had to be able to capitalize on any weaknesses his pressure caused... But, He was competative which means he was in those fights. For example, Gatti is a pressure fighter and when he fought "up" against Mayweather he never had a chance to win that fight. Porter had his chances.

Again lets look at Margarito, a similar pressure, heavy handed fighter with a reputation for bringing it hard. When he fought up, after cheating against Cotto, he was not competative, he got starched by Cotto and Pacman. I am just trying to contrast Porter who was always in his fights...

Also because of Alphabet Soup organizations, sometimes there is not enough credit for a fighter who chooses to stay at his weight and fight tough fighters who generally, while not fellow elite fighters, are a handful. For example, Hagler against the likes of Vito antifermo, Mustafa Hamsho, etc.

I can see an argument for either guy as pound for pound...two impressive fighters.

I'm sorry, but this has to be the dumbest post I have ever seen on this Forum. GGG in his prime was a A-level fighter while Porter has always been B-Level. GGG, in many people's eyes, beat Canelo twice (Who was P4P 2 at the time) Did Porter ever defeat anyone as good as Jacobs or Derveyonchencko? I honestly don't think so.

Bud's win over Shawn Porter is more impressive than Canelo's win over GGG. There are many people who think that Canelo did not win that second fight. But let's say he did win it without controversy? Imagine Canelo had KOd GGG in the 10th. Shawn Porter is still a better win. Why? He has a better resume for one with wins over Garcia, Ugas, and Alexander, which are better wins than Jacobs (controversy), Lemieux and Geale. Those 3 are bums, Gabe Rosado beat Jacobs and Lemeiux and Geale get destroyed every time they step up in comp. He has also fought many killers at the 147 division including a PRIME Kelly Brook, PRIME One Time Thurman and PRIME EJ Spence. He gave them all hell and proved himself each time. He also fights in the much more talented 147 division. Don't forget he holds an amateur win over the HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD, Alexander Usyk. And some people scored the Thruman fight for Porter.

Also, there's skills. Shawn Porter is a much more versatile fighter than G. He can fight both going forward and back. And applies vicious pressure with a great inside game. G can't fight going backwards and can't fight if you get close to him and smother his punches. Don't forget how slow he is and how terrible his head movement is. Porter is very fast and has great defense.

Does anyone really think GGG would be able to survive in a division with that much talent?
