Crawford is ageing and he needs the big fights. He can adventure 154.

In the mainstream though, few people have heard of Taylor, but then again, Crawford isn't exactly a big box office star either. The UK would be the best idea, if Arum is correct in that Josh is popular there.
He isn't, Taylor vs Prograis only did like 170k and that had a lot of matchroom fan favourites on and let's be fair Crawford ain't pulling numbers either it'd be a massive flop especially if they're handing out the massive guarantees like they seem to be lately...

Unless they can get Crawford to commit to a lengthy deal,it's not happening. Theyre down to 2 champions that move the needle for them,Spence/Tank and aren't about to risk losing Spence over a one and done deal unfortunately.

But I stress the word "possible". Personally I dont think Taylor is well known enough to really improve US PPV numbers much higher than Porter did, if at all.

Bob also could be referencing the low probability of Spence-Crawford even happening in the first place. Many people think that Spences purse split demands will kill the fight, regardless of who is promoting Crawford. So 60-40 or 70-30 vs Taylor is alot more than 00-00 if no Spence fight.
I think it would be relatively close to 50-50. Look at the Canelo-GGG 1 split for example. Spence is the A side but Crawford would still get a good split.

Bob Arum once again selling snake oil for full price.

Nobody knows Taylor, he's undisputed but he's not exactly fan friendly in the states. He isn't even a hit in the UK.
Taylor only did number because of Ramirez and the Mexican fans, and Prograis was a top contender, so it drew some in the UK.

Crawford-Taylor at MGM, nobody will travel here for that like they did with Ricky Hatton, the former 140lb king.
I also think it's a easy fight for Bud, predicting a wipeout of Taylor in 7.

                Biggest fight ranked.
                3 - Crawford vs. Thurman in Florida/Vegas
2 - Crawford vs. Ugas in Vegas (last name to fight Pacquiao).
1 - Crawford vs. Spence (Jerry's World in Arlington) or Even Raiders Stadium in LV.

Josh Taylor maybe huge in Scotland, but here in England casuals don't know who he is. I would love to see them fight in the UK as then I'd get to see Bud fight in the flesh, but Bob's hitting that bong hard if he thinks it's gonna fly on ppv over here.

Yeah i was thinking the same. Over the last while seeing all the videos of JT in America i get the feeling he is more well known across the pond than in the UK.

Laughable comments from money-grabber Arum. I second all the comments that here in the UK no-one knows who Taylor is. It doesn't help he has such a generic name.

In terms of familiarity of sportsmen, if AJ was 90/100 I'd put Josh Taylor at about 4 or 5/100 for the UK audience. That is to say AJ is way over 10x more known than the Scot, being generous to Taylor. So yeah, AJ can sell out 70k seater stadiums, but you'd be deluded to think Taylor can. Crawford would sell 80% of those tickets in any case.
