But where game plans must always been implement are in training camp, and on fight night? Tactics and moves should really be automatic. Once tactics and moves are automatic you can adapt at a quicker speed during a fight, Joshua did not adapt against Uysk in the fight. Compared to some other fighters it takes Joshua months to adapt, once a opponent has his game plan A figured out on fight night 'Joshua if he cannot knock-out his opponent, he will be solved for that night'.

I see that Joshua is still thinking he is all technical. Wilder in my opinion, put in a better effort vs Fury than Joshua did against Usyk.

Wilder truly left in all in the ring, and pushed Fury extremely hard.

Joshua left the ring vs Uysk knowing, he did not really leave it all in the ring 'He has even admitted all of this of late'.

    Very true my friend.

Would Fury or Wilder have meekly handed over their belts like Joshua did, knowing there were losing on the cards? No, both would've gone in and attempted to tear Usyk's head clean off his shoulders.

Being a fearsome competitor is not just about winning, it is also about knowing how to perform in a tough fight or during a fight which 'Looks like you cannot win'.

Not all winners are great competitors 'Not many people will understand this ideology'.

When Chris Eubank Senior fought Michael Watson, during their rematch. He knew a few rounds into a fight, that he was facing a man 'Who seemed to be beating him in every department' I believe Eubank admitted that, he thought he was going to lose.

Even while all those processes where going on in Eubank Seniors mind, he fought even harder.

That is instinct, the type of fighting spirit you see in nature.

I did not see that in Joshua vs Usyk, but it was there vs Kiltschko.

Deontay Wilder discredit his skills, but wow he is one fearsome competitor. And I agree, Fury had show that same kind of constitution in order to get past Wilder 'Otherwise soon as he was decked, he would of diverted game plan'.

I watched AJ-Whyte the other day and I'm astonished at how much AJ has changed over the years, when he was lighting Whyte up, he was openly laughing in his face & mocking him.

Now compare that to the wide-eyed scared look that he's had ever since Ruiz knocked him out.
Yeah, I remember AJ got rocked himself at one point, but as soon as he recovered he went straight back on the attack, willing to give and take punches without fear or uncertainty.

But what if they had a coach who was telling them they were doing, "Brilliant! Brilliant! Keep it up!" every time they went back to the corner after a round?

I think that's why AJ replied, "ask my team about that" when he was asked what the game plan was during his interview.

He also said something about not being sure, in his own mind, whether he was winning or not .

I think there was a plan in place I just don’t think wilder has the mental discipline or the ring IQ to execute the plan. The worst thing that ever happened to wilder was the adoption of the sit and wait to land a right hand tactic. That ruined him shortly after winning the title

I agree. Joshua is really not the one to critique someone else's game plan, but he has a point about coming in lighter. I really do wonder if Wilder would have ever lost, had he weighed the 215 lbs. he weighed throughout the rest of his career He is still undefeated at his normal weight. He wasn't visibly exhausted in fight one and retained enough punching power into the 12th round to really flatten Fury. Wilder's KO magic comes from a combination of natural power and an incredibly quick and long strike. The worst thing he could do, especially with a boxer like Fury, is to slow down that stroke by adding 20 extra lbs. in an ill-advised attempt to increase his power. Even at the lighter weight Fury was quick enough to roll with most of his punches to minimize the effect. His game plan early was dead on but after round 2 he reverted to missing head shots rather than landing crunching body blows, because being a bit slower, he got caught entering or leaving the zone.

Wilder has 2 problems: One, he can't box for shit. Two, he can't handle the pressure of being in with a dangerous opponent and burns up nervous energy too fast.
I know because he was too heavy. He was 231 lbs then; The highest he has ever weighed for a professional fight. All that muscle weight helped wore him down. He needs to lose that muscle weight and began implementing some cardio and road work in his training regiment in order to improve his conditioning.

A.J won every round against Ruiz . He’s only fought Pulev since that one then Usyk . I suspect he wins against Usyk in another part 2 and shows how difficult he really is as a boxer /puncher . I don’t actually think he needs much of a master mind map to beat everyone because of his physical gifts ,Usyk just happens to be one of them like Ruiz was who brought a different type of set of obstacles .
