Let's face it, he'll want to limit Makabu's weight as much as possible. Of course he will. I don't need interviews to know that. He's the A Side to a ridiculous degree, fighting a guy who is naturally a couple of weight classes above him. It's just common sense.

If Canelo wins it won't completely discredit the achievement - he'll still be fighting a champion who is naturally much bigger than him. But it's worthy of an asterisk in my book.

Didn't you read the title? Or reynoso's statement? Or you want to hear it from ginger mouth. Reynoso said it, Hopefully Ilunga doesn't budge and we can see a least, a good fight. I prefer berteviev, even Dorticos could present a big challenger.

Yeah fair post but the catch weight kind of does discredit the win for me. I don’t ever like watching catch weight fights. The bigger but drained fighter could be fighting at only 40-60% of their best but you’ll never know, so how can you really gauge that achievement? It’s pointless in my eyes.

If you don’t think you can beat a guy because you think he’s too big then stay out of his weight class. It’s as simple as that.

I’m asking you to quote where he says it in the article and you’re replying by saying read the title and something Eddie Reynoso said it.

          Where does Canelo say it?

It is right there on reynosos comment. Did canelo say I'm bringing him Down to 180. No, did reynoso mention a catchweight, yes. And they always do the interview together. Are you in denial? I believe so. Be safe. By the way, you can read the reynosos quote by clicking the lnik I posted. Or read the I copied and posted. Some of your guys are reacting, like canelo has never done this.

They do understand, but it's very hard for a fanatic to admit it. Be safe

He did? Because all he did was get a draw and a loss on his record.

The problem was GGG just ran into a fighter he couldn’t bully with his power.

So do you discredit Canelo's only loss to Floyd?

Oh but but but that wasn’t a real catchweight….that was a schooling. That one counts.

Reynoso isn’t even quoted in the article mate.

You are claiming in the OP that Canelo is bringing Mabaku down to a 180 lbs catch weight.

No where in the article is there a quote from anyone regarding a catchweight, or a 180 lb limit.

So for now let’s just stick to what’s actually being said as opposed to pulling things out of thin air.
