That's about as clear as mud at this point.

The cruiserweight limit is 200 pounds, but the WBC recently introduced an 18th weight class -- bridgerweight -- with a limit of 224 pounds. In a corresponding move, the Mexico-based organization is reducing the cruiserweight limit to 190 pounds, the same weight when the division was introduced in 1979, before it was increased by 10 pounds in 2004.
The WBC has approved Canelo Alvarez's request to challenge Ilunga Junior Makabu for the cruiserweight title, which would give Alvarez a title in a fifth weight class.

And what do you make about reynosos statement? This is very clear. The weight is a very big issue. Rules or no rules. They want a catchweight.

I said from the beginning that making 190 might be a problem for Makabu. Canelo, I believe, is just taking advantage of a WBC rule change. In time the weightclass will fill with fighters whose best weight really is 190 but right now it has fighters whose best weight is 200.

You’re salivating at a catchweight to discredit Canelo. You’re thirsty for it. Making shi.. up

Meanwhile you stay silent at Canelos lone loss being at a catchweight.

Canelo doesn’t mention a catchweight any where in the article.

            If so, quote it.

Saliviting? You are weird. I'm not making this thing up, and canelo lost another catchweight, his own 155lbs, against Lara. I posted the link and a excerpt from reynoso. Whatever you would like to spin it, is up to you. This post is about how he wants to bring a 200 pounds champ, down to 180. That's it, I appreciated your opinion, but mine is different than yours, and I don't need to accuse you of anything. Been watching boxing for a better parte 55 years. Be safe

No problem with canelo coming in at 180, as long as makabu just fights at the normal weight and has no restrictions outside of the normal rules

Big believer that any catchweight fight should be a non title fight

Hey I went to check Canelo’s record on boxrec and it shows that he won that fight against Lara. Lara lost. He ran. Like a biotch.

Why did you lie about that?

Where in the article does he say he wants to bring Makabu down to 180 lbs?

I know. Just like he got a "draw" against ggg, after waiting for the guy to get old. It turned out he had one more good fight left.
