    OP 100%

this fight went exactly the way boxing fans expected it to go, Porter made it rough in the first part of the fight and Bud figured him out in the 2nd half

People should appreciate special talents like Bud. If you don't understand the game, just shut up and don't analyze anything.

Note to all Canelo superfans - you are welcome to come cry in this thread though. I want those tears.
      well said lol…

He passed perhaps the biggest test of his career with flying colors by doing something that no other fighter has done and that was stopping Shawn Porter. Shawn Porter has nothing to hang his head about. He fought his ass off.

It's just that he was ostensibly slowing down the longer the fight went on and had trouble getting on the inside to fight. In addition, both his punch output and workrate were noticeably decreasing with each passing round as well..

Bud was methodically and systematically hurting and wearing him down with clean counters and body punches as the fight progressed into the later rounds; Which prompted his father Kenny to stop the fight..
          Excellent analysis.

What are you talking about? Makabu is a huge risk! Canelo beats Beterbiev, Benavidez and Bivol 10/10 times!!

Bud is one of my fav fighters right now, but I can be objective and talk about his flaws (Canelo fans have NEVER done this ever)

Bud clinched way too much last night, and should've been warned for it. It was getting kind of ridiculous, everytime Porter got in close Bud would just wrap him up and wait for the break. Eventually Porter started retaliating and holding as well, which took away from an amazing fight

The most important thing he has - is that he has an inner toughness to him, that loves to fight and mix it up. He won't quit and he loves the actual fight. That should have been evident to anyone watching tonight.

What exactly have you been watching? If you've watched him you shouldn't need anyone to explain it to you.
Plenty of fighters are tough and can fight on the inside. Wrestling is not boxing, this is boxing we are talking about.

                How does he box beautifully?

                He has been hurt.

I have watched him, yet no one can explain this special abilities he has.

thats nice cept he ducked beterbiev and said hes not a real 175 pounder. i go by his actions a nd words which show he didnt want to fight beterbiev. he wetn back to 168 which was a dead divisoin to fight a bunch of mediocre fighters when he could have fought beterbiev at any time by requesting the wbc for the fight. beterbiev has the wbc belt and he just did that to fight makabu but he was "too small for the fight". also he did this same exact thing when he ducked ggg saying hes too small while hiding out in a division he created, then he fought chavez jr who was even bigger than ggg. its just illogical to say you are too small to fight the elite guys then fight guys even bigger. not sure why you like being taken advantage of. kinda weird. you even give him fantasy wins for fights he is avoiding. wacky!

I've pretty much ignored posts about the fight tbh. If he's fighting in May he can easily move to 175 to fight Beterbiev who's been p4p for years. For 2 belts, and possibly become undisputed at 175 at some point. But obviously Beterbiev is seen as much more of a threat or that would be next.
