It stinks of bias but unfortunately those are "boxing fans" nowadays. I'd get it if Porter was actually showing signs of slipping but he brings it every single fight. He did lose to Ugas though in my opinion
I had Ugas winning too. Very close fight though, I think it could have went either way.

if he does a job on porter then fair play, not seen any signs of porter slowing down and arguably beat spence

If he beats him convincingly with no controversies he will get full credit from me. He would be in the top 5 p4p fighters but he won't occupy the top. Crawford would need to do more

I will give him his due….but he won’t be p4p #1. Needs more accomplishments

He’s expected to beat a 35 yr old part time boxer and Porter isn’t exactly considered a great fighter. Porter losses all the big ones so what’s so special about Bud beating him?

He’ll solidify his legacy as the one and only, TBE.

Yeah I agree. Canelo is clearly #1 at the moment. Usyk is clearly #2 as well IMO.

Crawford is still probably 3-5 range with a decisive win over Porter.

However, what I’m seeing is several guys already moving the goalposts. Suddenly Crawford has to stop Porter because Porter is “shot” and a “part time boxer” and a load of other nonsense.

I think anyone who’s a genuine fan of the sport will admit IF Crawford convincingly beats Porter he’s the #1 guy in the division and justifiably a top P4P fighter- that’s coming from an Errol Spence fan too.

Those people will always have something negative to say. The only reason this fight is intriguing to me is to really gauge how good Crawford is at the WW division instead of having to rely on the eye test. Him fighting the Khans, Brooks and Horns hasn't really helped his case but this fight should give us a clear picture on how good he is at WW

34, full time, universally top 4 ranked Welterweight and 2x former champion.

This is what I mean by moving the goalposts…
