We're definitely kindred spirits! Lol! Whyte turned down Joshua rematch, gets KO'd by Povetkin, and he deserves 45%? There are only 2 fighters (active) on the planet, who could throw their belts in the trash, and still get 8 figures for their next fight! Fury and Canelo! Love it or Hate it, but Tank is getting close to that level too!

Whyte has every right, but not to the point of missing out. He's one of a few left for Fury to make big profit. UK money is good as any. Who's left? Maybe Andy. Whyte is in a good spot to ask for more.

So they're looking to give Whyte 20%, IMO Dillain Whyte is bigger than that.
He got 30 million the last 2 fights with wilder & around 12 in the first…whyte ain’t a bigger draw. Fury has been fighting in Us & hasn’t fought in Uk for a long time. Whyte has been turning down fights left & right the last few years. 75-25 is the usual percentage. The WBC said 80-20… so Whyte can take it or leave it. I’m sure he would walk out with 5-8 million & if he wins he can demand a lot more. He is not in the driver’s seat & I’m sure they would bend for 75-25 maybe even 70-30 but Whyte continues to shoot himself in the foot. I like Whyte & think he deserves a shot but the lawsuit & his loss to Povetkin hurt him. Fury/Wilder 3 winner was mandated to fight him earlier this year but last year he got pasted by Povetkin.

Super harsh and unfair for frank to claim Whyte only deserves 20%. Shame Whyte and his team make clear they’ve no intention of sitting down sensibly, they just want a purse bid, because of eddies need to CONTROL.

But Frank talking like this also makes His side seem like they want to make negotiating awkward too. Like him or Loathe him, Dillian Certainly brings some tickets and ppv buys in, he’s deserving of more than 20%. Some People get carried away about past numbers, sometimes A fighters value can fluctuate depending on opponent, sometimes fans just want too see certain two guys get it on and don’t care about future opponents, boxing is A strange game, Whyte been British brings a lot on its own to U.K. PPV.

What?? 300 000 for Whyte? Outrageous! He's not worth more than 20 quids!

A lot of y'all are saying this is a tactic to duck Whyte but it seems like Whyte and his team know he can't win and want to cash out. This is honestly Whyte's last shot at a title and if he loses he'll just be another gate keeper like Chisora.

Ok, you guys are missing something here. Yes Fury got good money facing Wilder! But before Wilder, how many fans both casual and hardcore would want to watch Fury fight? His style wasn't fan friendly.
Before Fury fought Wilder, who would you rather watch (Fury or Whyte)? Go and look at some sky sports buys number and you would see that some fights Whyte headlined brought considerably good numbers whereas Fury has been a long time low number fighter!

Fury wasn't really known like that even after he won Klitschko. When he fought seferi and panieta for his come-back how many fans really cared? After he fought Wilder the first time, he then signed a nice deal with ESPN and that was why u saw good money he earned. When he fought schwarz and wallin how many people turned up to watch him fight them? After he beat Wilder in the second fight he tried to fight Kabayel at December that year ending and fans didn't even care.

But check this out anytime Dillain Whyte turn up to fight win or lose fans turn up to watch coz they know it will be fireworks. That was why I said IMO Dillain Whyte is a bigger draw coz despite the fact that he hasn't won a major belt he still one to watch coz fans will want to see some suspense.

Fury is about to blow away his opportunity to be a big major must-see. AJ is about to fight Usyk so we don't know who would turn out to be the Winner. If AJ turn out to win I believe he will carry that fight and be the A-side. So apart from Joshua, the fight to bring Fury a quality payday is actually Dillain Whyte and Dillain actually makes one enjoy fight even in the press conference and face to face Dillain is fun to watch. So if Fury ****s up and decide to fight an easy voluntary defence fight let say Kabayel how many turn up of fans do you think will want to watch that?

So in this Fury-Whyte negotiation, true Fury should be the A-side but Whyte should earn considerably more coz he will give a fan friendly fight.

Exactly!!!! I completely agree with you sir! People are acting as if Dillain Whyte don't bring quality numbers!!

Dillain Whyte fights in my opinion has done more in Britain in terms of PPV numbers than most of Fury's fight apart from fury fight with Klitschko and Wilder trilogy!

55/45 sounds crazy given joshua/Fury agreed to 50/50, i think 65/35 would be great but he should be willing to accept 70/30 with a % of the ppv, like they did with floyd vs cotto once a certain number of ppv buys are hit thereafter white gets a % of anything after that... that deal could result in a very decent paycheck as there both trash talkers and can sell the fight well, its the biggest fight in the uk between 2 brits that can be made at this time. Id say it does 1mil ppv buys if not very close to that.

                      2) People deciding they have a real knack for these things and figuring on a proper cut of the apple.
                      3) We will get all kinds of theories about what the true motivations might well be!

Its always the same with these threads... Does it occur to anyone that sometimes the worth of someone is totally arbitrary? Take for example... two men paid to punch each other in the face: Deciding who draws more of a spectacle in so doing... And under these conditions?

Whyte, Fury, etc would be expected to make a case for why they are the more valuable face puncher! Its human nature, its succesful negotiations... If Fury had offered Whyte a 90% cut what reason is there for Whyte not to demand a 95% cut?

As far as any prize fighter being "scared" this is debatable with a caveat... that being that guys like Liston, Duran, Foreman and Tyson exist(ed). Yes Michael Spinks seemed genuinely "scared" of Tyson agreed...
